Franck Kessie

We can always sell him for some profit if it doesn't pan out. That's the advantage of top free agents.

We need a Busi replacement, and Kessie doesn't look to be that type of player. The two positions in front of the DM are covered by Pedri, Frenkie, Gavi and Nico. I wouldn't replace any of them with Kessie.

I think same.

Maybe, is best to send Nico on loan for one year. Then after year see how good is Kessie and how Nico developed.

Not a fan, but as long as we don't give crazy wages+signing fee there's not much harm I suppose. Worst case we sell him for 20ME+ in a few years. But honestly I don't know what's in there for him. Midfield is crazy stacked, he could just join another top team and be a starter. Crazy that it seems to be done.

Sending Nico on loan would be retarded. Terrible suggestion.

Good player with more experience than Barca's youngsters, but I feel Brozovic would be the better choice if Barca were to sign ONE midfielder next summer.

I don't actually think the midfield is that stacked. Busquets, De Jong, Nico, Gavi, Pedri realistically are the options. Roberto is more of a utility man and hasn't been deployed as an out and out midfielder for a long time.

Puig, Sanz etc - forget about it.

Busquets is going to be 34, three of them are teenagers that shouldn't be run into the ground and we are then 1 injury away from depletion. Plus even in the Pep era we had the Keita's as well as the Xaviesta's.

He's free, if it doesn't work out, he will have plenty of suitors as he will be 26/27 and we can make money from selling him. Not much to lose, a lot to gain.

I agree about Nico. He's talented but raw, and looks to be progressing slower.

So we're talking about a solid 4 core in the near future if we bring in Kessie. De Jong, Kessie, Pedri, Gavi. Not that much.

I don't think Kessie rumors mean we are looking to sell players like De Jong. Xavi is seeing that the first 11 is still too veteran-based and is looking to find options past Busi.
