Franck Kessie

From what Milan fans seems to say he is at his best in box to box role.

Hopefully this is not to sell FDJ to fund Haaland when FDJ is best in world in that position.

Could be useful for when FDJ covers Busquets as they miss him in that box to box role when does that and no one else really suited to it.. Nico maybe but have feeling he will be gone in summer.. on loan possibly or if City genuinely do want him to then offset some of Torres deal.

Would be a very good signing imo.

Really hope reports about Kessie and Christensen being close are true. We need more players in this age range (in/entering their prime years). Right now we either have over the hill veterans or kids.

Christensen and Kessie would be nice adition, but I don't except too mich from them.

We need game changers if there are founds ofc.

#Barca has almost completed the signature of Kessie. The player chose to join FC Barcelona despite offers from PL. (Ferran Correas)

News heating up about Christensen too.

We've had very strong rumors regarding Kessie, Christensen, Azpi and Mazraoui. All free agents.

Haaland being the other who would be of purchase.

Signing all 5 players seems too good to be true.

Kessie, Christensen and Mazraoui+extending Dembele would be great. With them the squad would be pretty much set. After that it's just about selling and getting highlight transfers in if possible.

I imagine DM would be well covered with Busquets, Frenkie, Nico and Kessie. If Yaya can do a job there I am sure the rest can as well - after all he's the textbook box to box midfielder. Finding a pure defensive midfielder is nigh impossible anyway.

Apparently we tried to negotiate for Tchouam?ni but he will cost too much, that would be a clutch signing, we should try signing him on loan with a guarantee to buy next summer.

If we did sign him then hopefully there is a plan behind it. He didn't mightily impress me when watching, kind of plays like Riqui Puig on cocaine.

Still, if Xavi has watched his tapes and believes he can impact his squad then I trust him. In recent weeks he has shown intelligence in squad management which suggests not only is he (obviously) a football genius but he is also utilizing data.

You've sold me. Likewise Xavi could just give Puig cocaine.

Anyone who is SUPPORTING his signing, I want you to really tell me what do you think this guy offers that we DON'T Already have in MD?
And, to also, admit HONESTLY if you have ever watched him play for AC MILAN?
Because I have watched him, and the image projected is far from the truth.

- Scores goals: No, almost all his goals with Milan are penalties. Are we playing 6.5/y for a penalty taker?
(That is also a reply to a ridiculous leak apparently from a source close to the club saying “He’s a type of player we don’t have in the team at the moment. He can contribute 10 goals p/y” & compare his arrival to Seydou Keita’s)
- Physicality: we have already with FDJ and Nico.
- Good passing: his passing is 3 tiers below 'Barca level', slow and not precise, easy passes, sideways, not between lines, not over the top, not PROGRESSING play with his passes
- Arrives in the box: at Milan he protects the defense, and plays Busi role in most games.
laughable demand by the way, when we have FDJ who has shown how WC he can be in off the ball movement.

OK, let's say you disregard all the above (that he will add little to no skillset we lack already), and you want the 'cheap' free agent signing.

WHERE THE FUCK is he GONNA PLAY? or IS HE EVER GONNA PLAY?
In Busi's role? With Xavi as a coach? LMAOL:lol:
Over Pedri or Gavi? LMAOL again:lol:
You want the club to sell or not support Nico? Why? Nico has better technique than him and can do much more around the box.
To take Puig's place? Pay him 6.5m / year to be 6th choice?

Honest questions...

That's reasonable. I too have a minor worry that Kessie might replace FdJ so we can fund Haaland. But if Frenkie finished the season as the last games, then that should remove that arguement.

About where he can play. Perhaps Xavi wants 5 strong midfielders for 3 positions. The main positive is we would have depth.

That's Busquets, Frenkie, Kessie, Pedri and Gavi. Where he can rotate based off of the opposition, while Gavi can also play in an attacking role as shown.

It leaves the question of Nico, who is Xavi current 5th midfielder. You wouldn't really want him in tough CL games and Madrid games based on this season. I presume he would stay and a decision would be made made mid season market depending on minutes. I would also be in favour of a loan but he has been one of those who like Ilaix has always been problematic to renew, so that option could be delicate.

Kessie starts in Coppa Italia against Inter in 18 minutes if anybody wants to keep a close eye on him.

What about 4-3-3 , Busi on CDM, Adama going back because we can't buy him, Griezmann back because ATM don't want him, Ferran Torres proved to have Fernando Torres blood line, Haaland to Real Madrid with Mbappe, Fati injuring himself on first match and Dembele signing for PSG free?

Not that I'm disagreeing with your points, but he's a tier above Nico and FDJ when it comes to physicality.
