Franck Ribery

Dunno, that's the second time Goal.com have said that. And the first time, Hoeness came out and said they weren't thinking about Hleb and Ribery said he'll consider leaving if Bayern fail to qualify for the CL. Now they have qualified, they might be a lot more reluctant to sell him.

But what does he expect to do? Stay and maybe win the Bundesliga again and in all likelyhood go out in the knockout stages of the Champions League? Or leave and look for potential Domestic and European sucess with a big club in Spain, England or Italy.

Oh don't get me wrong, i'm praying we get him. Just Nebeer said it as if it's actually happened and a deal is in place, which tbf is exactly what's in Sport and Goal.com but I don't trust either as far as transfers go.

If we don't get Ribery for one reason or another, who would you guys like to see on the left wing?
Pato would be my first choice, than Silva, Lavezzi, Babel, Aguero and Tevez (Zlatan!?).

Your right, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed

*Touch wood!*
Lavezzi impressed me when he played Scotland, Silva imo usually plays good aswell. Silva is as a few people have said a bit injury prone (though maybe we can get rid of that nasty habit for him), but proven to do well in La Liga, however whether he would work in our particular system is a different matter.

Tevez and Pato aren't natural wingers and Babel is overrated imo. If not Riberdog, then defo Silva should be brought in. Lavezzi I couldn't tell you a lot of tbh because I don't watch Serie A other than Milan and Inter

Henry was not a naturall winger either, but our system doesn't really need a natural winger (?). It's not like we play 4-4-2 and want a winger that could cross the ball into the box. We need players that are technical, good passing and positioning etc. I think that Pato and Tevez would be very good. And Babel overrated? Imo he is really good, maybe a little bit to slow. We need pace on the wings, just like Messi.

Actually, I rate Lavezzi highly because he's fast, can get past defenders, highly technical and can cut in with ease. He is a guy who can play on both wings, play up front or also as a Midfielder. So he can come really handy. Besides, I think he will fit in to our team beautifully. A player as versatile as him can be a good asset for the team.

Good point  Pato would indeed ne good. Still, you can't deny a natural left winger is better than a CF. Henry plays more like a CF anyway, cuts in to his right foot all the time. But Babel is definitely not to be mentioned along Silva and Riberdog I really don't see why he's rated as highly as he is. He was meant to be the wonderkid, he's good but nothing spectacular.

I heard that Chelsea has made a bid for Ribery - €53 mils!? That is crazy, I don't think we want to spend that much on him.

The Times reckons that madrid will sign Ribery ahead of Chelski but the article doesn't seem to have much to back up their claim.

Nope, none!

I still hope we sign him. He could become a balon d'Or winner in our team.. And do wonders against team that parks the bus.

I don't think we'll sign ribery because we have henry, and bojan has shown some aptitude to play inside-left, and we have jeffren and pedro coming through the ranks. this may or may not be a mistake, let's see.
