Franck Ribery

I've said that all along. If one of Eto'o or Henry is leaving (apparently) then it is more likely to be Eto'o than Henry. So buy a stiker (Villa) and keep Henry on the left. Then put Gai in as an understudy to Henry. It might not be the best in the world but people are so quick to talk about buying in young players when we have players that have the same potential in our youth teams if only we nurtured it a little.

We can't expect every attacking player that comes from La Masia to be another messi. We cules, myself included, are spoiled and expect every la masia player to be exellent. Im not saying Gai is not good enough, im saying we can't take him from our youth team and make him the only alternative.

Given Henry's age, we cant we expect him to be determinant in the abssence of our attacking pillars (messi, iniesta and etoo).
Ribery would relegate henry to the bench, leaving us with alternatives in all positions, with Gai being one of them, just not the only one.

It's a common mistake.. same way everyone expect castilla strikers to be another Raul, every Argie to be another Maradona..etc

expectations are always high in big teams.. and sometimes those youngsters don't have the mental strength to overcome the demanding fans expectations

exactly .. only messi is living up to expectations. some players have been destroyed by those expectations set upon them.

Looked good, although like the first leg didnt have the service required. However he made the most of whatever given. Like i say, if we are looking for a player exlusively for the left wing u cant go wrong with franck.

He switched to the right wing at times as well, he was all over the place. I'd reckon he has the stamina of Alves, really tireless and tbh he owned Alves+Puyol on many ocassions.

True, i think frustration at getting beaten was what made Dani throw those brutal droptackles around
