He's on 195, the top is 202, so 8, or 7 to equal. I'd seriously keep him for another season just to break it. He's looking like he'll hit 800 career matches this season providing he stays injury free. Won't quite make it to 600 for Chelsea as he's on 583. He's 2 goals away from scoring 10 or more goals in 10 consecutive EPL seasons.

Lamps is our greatest ever player, £11m was an absoloute bargain in retrospect. Of all the great players that have played in the Premiership, he's outscored and out-assisted the lot of them. Officially the most productive player in Premiership history.

Proof if you work hard enough you can achieve anything. Between 2004 and 2007 he was untouchable as a central midfielder. Him and Maka - the perfect combination between attack and defence. Shame we got Ballack a couple years to late, him and Lamps at their peaks with Makelele holding would have been a force to be reckoned with for ANYONE.
