True but you can do better than Romeu. Get an actually good defensive DM who's athletic and the midfield will be incredibly strong.

Having Romeu and Busquets there has caused defensive deficiencies.

Busuqets somewhat (especially before the box midfield), but not Romeu. He's doing the Schone part. Working as a fix point for Frenkie to move freely.

Need to get a better partner obviously though.

But Busi and more so Romeu limit him.

Romeu looks a carthorse more and more every game.

He can't really play much better. He's already obscenely good individually for us.

No they do limit him.

He can still be class with them there but too often doing basics they should be.

Even just moving for ball to open up space for him to receive it etc.

He is part of the team anyway.. so impossible to limit him only.

Busquets limited Frenkie the moment he signed for us. Had to babysit that past it donkey for years, he was a massive liability. Oriol limits him as well due to his extremely limited skillset, but at least he's solid at what he does.

Villareal countered a lot due to Romeu and shit full backs but FDJ controlled middle of park and was world class.

Was head and shoulders above Gavi/Gundo let alone fucking Romeu.

There is a reason Xavi and others are praising him so highly.

FDJ was best player on park after Lamal and both were top class.

Far better than anyone else in Barca team.

The reason Xavi and media praise him today was due to how good he was.
