still think this guy is almost blind, his eye for assist is on charles level.
If it is not obvious pass, don't except magic from him.

But still WC for us.

That's cause he only turned into a proper player after xavi arrived. Before that be was wondering around the field like a hobo.

Seen a couple of takes on Twitter in regards to FDJ and I have seen people retweet this thread.

Granted I look at other people's viewpoints on stuff on the team but I just can't agree with this thread or some of the comments in it.

Not sure how trying to limit FDJ's strengths is somehow going to fix the structural issues with this team. Basically, some of these guys argue that FDJ is taking away from the others.

Limiting FDJ isn't going to make the likes of Romeu look like a starting quality DM for this team. He has far too many flaws as a player to ever be more than just a bench option.

It's like when people were trying to justify the Gavi-Busi-Pedri trio last season saying "it was balanced" but that trio crashed and burned quickly that Xavi had to admit defeat and put FDJ back in the Midfield.

It is folk who cant handle how important FDJ is and called it wrong.

Even if they went back to 3 in middle FDJ is the best CM and the best DM Barca have.

The imbalance is by having likes of Romeu at DM and Gavi offering next to nothing on ball as a fourth mid from the left.

The top teams in world are looking for midfielders who can get up and down park.

This is just more Barca fans who think they know that football is and believe Barca can play like did with peak Xavi and Iniesta.

City had gundogan playing with freedom to move last season, they have Rodri doing that this season and also brought in Nunes and Kovacic for how mobile they are.

Chelsea spent a fortune on Enzo then a fortune again to get a player to allow him to move.

Real are trying more movement from midfield with Bellingham, Valverde and Camavinga.

Liverpool have moved away from three sitting mids and have more movement.

So many Barca fans stuck in past it is ridiculous.

The guy is just a moron. He was one of the ones preaching about how terrible Koeman's football idea is and how Xavi will bring beautiful football back to Barca, and is now defending his 'pragmatism' and saying 'it doesnt matter how you play as long as you win, you have to be pragmatic'.

They can't handle that their takes on Xavi and the players were wrong - and are now moving the goalposts and flinging shit at the wall to try and 'explain' why the football is so bad, by blaming our best player.

In regards to the point made, its just utterly untrue, there are plenty and have been plenty of top teams who allow their midfielders freedom to move, even City and Arsenal are doing this, City have Rodri and Kovacic operating in both halves and moving up and down the pitch whilst Arsenal have Viera and Havertz given freedom to attack box and move around looking for the ball.

If it's not too good for Pep it definitely isn't too good for Xavi. The idiot is just looking for more excuses to make on why the quality of football is bad.

Same numpty as the usual numpties posted a video of few weeks back.

In video he used to highlight the 'positional play' when Xavi first came in that had guess who as the most prominent player... FDJ.

Xavi didnt move away from 433 for FDJ... the reality was FDJ was Barcas best player in the run of games before the world cup and then the formation change.

Xavi changed it as Barca were out the CL and second in league having been beaten by Real and then realising Busi needed more cover and there was not LW standing out at all.

Yeah I missed out Arsenal.. that is what Rice is for.. movement from CM.

Real, City, Arsenal, Chelsea all spending huge money on players with more mobility in midfield... but Barca should be looking to play some style from 10+ years ago.

That twitter/youtub guy is an idiot.
