Looking at replays of Valencia's goal I noticed how he just gave up on following the opposition player. Raphinha tried to engage but clumsily.

Sometimes he reads well the play and blocks attacks. When he's around our box he just switches off and forgets how to defend.

Maybe another manager would find him a better role.

His best role is box to box... he isnt a DM and can tell it by his positioning at times... but still in that position he was MOTM and dominated the game.

Top top player gets into any team and one of few that could play as well as did at weekend when out of position.
