Similar to Arthur's first season. Will be a monster next year once he settles in and his partnership with the brazilian will be telepathic.

Now, give those two a powerhouse DMC behind them and you got yourself a legendary midfield.

Exactly my thoughts too. You have anyone in mind for that role? I like Thomas Partey but I'm afraid he is too much of a regista to play that role. Fabinho/Kante ideal. Maybe Florentino Luis from Benfica, he has some insane defensive numbers and seem decent with the ball.

I think Partey would work. Kante for more work-rate. I don't really rate Fabinho all that much. How is Ndombele doing at Spurs? Ruben Neves?

Rodri would have been perfect...

Anyway, it should be someone who can string two passes together and have a fairly good reading of the game.

Bruno Guimarães and Jean Pyerre, both brazillians great on the ball and good defending

Bruno Guimarães (21 years), monstruous DM

i think busquest's as much as i love him, doesnt fit THIS barcelona team.

He is more suited around tika taka players. These new players arthur, de jong, vidal are more direct,

I don't see a role for him

This performance confirmed me in what i have been saying about De Jong. He is not a advanced midfielder nor a DM. His best position is the Xavi role where he has defensive projection but still can dictate the game without being too advanced. This goes for Arthur aswell.

We should be playing 4231 from now on, suits our players more. Requires massive intensity and running from De Jong and Arthur, need to be sure Arthur can do it aswell. Yesterday he looked tired and slow while De Jong presses constantly.

4231 also changes our transfer target. In a 433 we need a CM who is a bit more advanced, basically an interior ala F.Ruiz. Now we need more of a 10/second striker(still with intensity). So if we go with 4232 we should go for Van De Beek, not Ruiz anymore.

Your anti Arthur agenda makes you blind. Arthur had 14 recoveries yesterday, most out of everyone. He was running in full speed multiple times in the 80+ minute, he did the same last game as well.

He has actually improved but can get even better. Especially his offball movement both in attack and defense and his ball carry.

But he has improved for sure. His running was after the 70 minute only jogging, needs to get more intensity in there
