He is young. He can be part of a full cycle even if it takes us 2-3 years to build it.

PSG made the CL final, but they still play in Ligue 1. They need to improve that league level pronto. At the moment, they play about 5-6 very competitive games a season.

I know, but there are political and experience reasons involved in the captaincy. When was the last time a young and non la masia product was a captain for Barca?

The last non la masia captains were actually Dutch iirc. Cocu had the armband for sometime and Frank De Boer had a stint with the captaincy aswell. I think Frenkie will be captain in a couple seasons when the other seniors leave.
