de jong, halaand, deligt, pedri and ansu fati should be the new amigos to get rid of the old amigos.

The old guys are not leaving the team othrwise.

Not his best game but both of the first two goals are in large part due to him running in behind. He has really taken a step regarding that in the latter half of the season.

Like Vidal, he makes excellent runs. When the ball is to his head, he makes the obvious choice and is effective. If he could make better decisions when he gets the ball at his feet (he always looking for the cutback), that would be a huge step up in his game. He needs to also consider the shot or pass to the back post. When playing against a parked bus, the cutback is often the most crowded and least effective option.

De Jong is a lot of good things, being Busquets replacement isn't one of them.

Let's see him with a good manager first. Not saying you're wrong, just want to see a better manager making the shots and deciding who plays where. Koeman is average.

DeJong seems to get lost in big games.

Barcelona seems to get lost in big games. Usually when you have 2-3 players (Frenkie, Messi+X) performing in "smaller" games and noone in bigger games then the problem are the other 8-9 players (or the coach).

For example Suarez at Liverpool, Cristiano pre midfield greatness for Madrid...

Suarez at Liverpool was how some people like to depict Ronaldo on this forum. He honestly had no-one near world class in 2013-14.

Or, he is a Getafe merchant for now.
Just like Mats.

Very good against bad opponents.
Meh against his peers.

And no, 2 good games for Ajax or NT team aren't debunking this claim.

Even Malcom had his CDR match against Real, Dembele had a cup final against Bayern, Mats saved one shot in a CL 6 years ago etc.

It happens here and there.
