He's already learning Spanish. Don't think that is because he wants to understand pep better at city.. If we can agree a fee with Ajax he definitely chose us instead city or some other club.

If he already speaks English, it makes sense for him to learn Spanish too.

I would choose City in a heartbeat. Fernandinho is 34. Pep is the coach. No brainer.

By the time Pep's contract expires (and there is serious possibility it is his last contract their) FDJ will be just completed 24.
He will be committing his career for 2 years with Pep.
That said, I still believe money will decide, Ajax and his agent will push him toward the highest bidder

Sport says Real Madrid are in for him with City while our interest in him has diluted in recent weeks. Heart-breaking stuff.

How stupid can this board be if they let this one go and sign Rabiot or Pogba???

Again, potentially not signing Frenkie might be the single biggest mistake by Barca in a 15 year period (from 2010-2025). Forget overpaying for Dembele and Coutinho. We have a chance to fix our midfield long-term (Arthur-Frenkie-Oriol) with players who grew up watching Don and Xavi and build on that in the future. But no, we will fucking do a GALACTICO signing instead and let one of the best young MF's, who wants to play for us, leave for Manchester, or worse, fucking Madrid.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why we want that clown Rabiot over this absolute gem? He’s everything we could possibly want in a MF, can play as a pivot and interior and had loads more positional and tactical nous than Rabiot...:banghead:

it looks like a power move. something to put the ball in our court and drive down the price with ajax. like, 'hey we're not desperate to get dj.' negotiating tactic.
