Bunch of morons here shitting on FDJ and talking about selling him. This forum is as incompetent as our current captains.
FDJ is our best midfielder. Midfield overall was a horror show against RM but he managed to have the least pathetic performance compared to undisputed starters Pedri and Busquets. And FDJ is the one that hasn?t been trusted by Xavi for months, after months of board and local media shitting on him during the summer.
Just remember morons that all the good periods we?ve had these past 2 years were ones when FDJ was given some trust in the midfield. Xavi?s good run in early 2022 ended as soon as he decided that starting Busquets and Gavi ahead of FDJ is a good idea.
Under Koeman?s good run, FDJ was our best player along Messi.
Build your midfield around FDJ instead of that dead corpse of Busquets, and you?ll see how the Dutchman repays you.

It's not just a De Jong issue, even Pedri has this flaw. You'll see Raphinha and Dembele making runs but these midfielders always love to make interesting touches with the ball instead of just releasing it.
The next thing that happens is the opposition defense later covering the space and the chance being cut off. Eric Garcia even tends to see and make great passes better than the midfielders at times

Noticed he's almost as bad as Pedri with hiding. Used to be our most active guy off the ball but often looks like he can't be arsed.

De Jong and vision has never been his strong point unless it’s a lack of courage rather than vision.
Class at evading challenges and progressing with the ball. He’s capable of doing it, like the lobbed ball in the box for the Fati miss kick but often takes the simple route.
He needs a full stretch of games now though, as the Gavi-Busi-Pedri combo just isn’t good enough.
