Indeed. Many neutral observers think that the brand of football Spain dominated the world with was boring as fuck. And it kinda was, when compared to Barca. That said, there is still a lot of quality and chock full of great talent there. Taking this match as an example is retarded. It was a B team full of debutants, played on on a cattle-shed of a pitch with rain pouring non stop all the way through. And they actually looked better than ze germans, although their team was also far from premium lineup. I don't know anything about Kiko Casilla, but the goal he conceded is quite typical blunder when played on water soaked potato fields like this even from best keepers.

Yup. Hard low bouncing Kroos shot to the back post on a rain-soaked pitch in the pouring rain.

Didn't bore me, far more interesting than Barça these days. Nice to see two technically superb teams moving the ball around quickly, even under those conditions, even without many A team players. Isco still wreaking havoc with his runs (hopefully with Thiago again someday).

Was expecting Scotland to be better to be honest. Must have been drained from the Ireland game.

Very poor game from a Scotland point of view but the defence is terrible, Hanley is awful, Scott Brown and Charlie Mulgrew are only there because they play for Celtic, Whitaker was only there due to Injuries, Strachan pretty much does what every other national team manager does picking players on what team they play for/League and if you won't get called up if your non Old firm in Scotland. Gave the ball away far to cheaply didn't really make England work to hard. England players are on a different level to Scotlands

Was at the game. Scotland were terrible, nothing like in recent qualifiers. Brown is good but mulgrew should be nowhere near the team. Chris Martin is not good, and I don't know why Whittaker gets a game. Fletcher is also awful.

Also the tartan army was shite, outsung by 5k England fans. Celtic champions league games have a far better atmosphere.

Also paul, your aberdeen players and other SPL players aren't called up because they are not good enough. Name some who you would want in the side.

Reynolds, Jack and Pawlett (who made a mockery of the Scotland CDM paring a couple weeks ago) Some Dundee Utd its players swell as some others, Funny how players get called up just after they leave Scotland though

Brown has been poor in recent games. Mulgrew Has gone downhill recently. Johnny Russell looked good and Andrew Robertson (two ex-dundee utd players) is a class above the rest.

Don't think they could cut it. At least the celtic players have played at a higher level in Europe etc. the qualifier against sociedad isn't enough IMO. I would give one of them a chance and replace mulgrew though.

Robertson is a good player, but remember he was a celtic youth product.

but players in the English champions hip don't prove themselves in Europe either. + IMO pick national based players over Foreign league players unless there's a colossal differense

Weren't there some anti IRA chants?

Yeah, it was just "f the ira" over and over with those trumpet guys playing a tune. (Same tune as "England's barmy army ")

Also yeah that's a decent idea, but I think the real problem with scottish football is producing good youth in the first place, the league and youth academies need sorting out.

We've created a weird sort of society when anti-IRA songs upset people but booing the national anthem doesn't.

I don't mind booing the anthem, not a fan of royalty anyway. I don't think anyone cared about the IRA stuff. They complain about sectarianism yet they are the ones who started singing that. The England fans were in rangers pubs before the game wouldn't be surprised if they got some ideas from there.

Could you go a chicken supper? joking.

Don't really mind people booing national anthems or Singing.

certain "Sectarian" Songs don't bother me that much as long as its left at the football
