Barcelona are willing to let go Argentinian centre-back Gabriel Milito (30), whose contract expires in 2012, for free this summer. [sport]

He's been a good servant for the club, but his future is not at Barca and both the club and he realises that now. Still silly not to get 2 or 3 million for him at the same time

Has apparently offered himself to Espanyol but they turned him down  maybe he wanted to stay in Barcelona, or was planning on screwing them up against Barca??

Best wishes to the guy. Thought up until approx 1 year ago he did a great job for us but recently, it seems his injuries have caught up with him. Was a very reliable guy

He is not so bad, he just makes mistakes occasionally... If he had more game time he would improve im sure.

Sorry but letting Milito go for free is a poor decision. I know he's a nice guy and all but Barca is not charitable organisation that should sponsor other clubs signing our players. He's at least worth 5 mil.
I though the board decided there won't be any of that when they took over.

Letting him go for free is stupid. I know his contract is going to expire but trying to get even anywhere between 1-2mil would be better than nothing. For a club that is in "financial instability" I figured they'd be a little smarter with their money and decisions.

If they were smart, they could raise at least 10-12mil between Keirrison, Milito, Henrique, and Maxwell.
That is a lot when we're trying to sign two players each valued at 35-40mil.

+1 completely agree on this.

and adding Jeffren/Bojan's money is enough to get almost 30 that is Sanchez proposal.

Sell him!?! You couldn't even raffle him.

To add: Off loading dead weight also cuts down on paying salary for players we don't use. I rather pay a player that's playing second fiddle on our first team a little more than 5 players that are just watching from the bench. Granted, loans covers the salary of Keirrison and Henrique.

Gone are the days I feel comfortable with Gaby in the defense, I hope he's sold - nice guy or not
