They aren't known for their patience, aren't they?
That said, 14 Liga points in 13 games since return from Christmas break, lost 4 in CDR against Segunda Almeria, 4 consecutive loses were the last straw for their board.
A bit like last year, he was great in first half and bad second one.
He should get another gig in La Liga, but I feel it will be always lower level clubs.
I think it's more their board who is under constant pressure from the fans are just looking for scapegoats but changing two or three coaches every season is not a solution.
True they've lost last four games but those losses were against Athletic and Atletico (conceded in 93rd minute) at home and Betis (I know it's the derby and they always hate to lose those but Betis were like 2nd/3rd most in form team at that time) and Valencia (also in great form) away. Before that they've only lost twice in 11 games though and that was against Barca and Madrid so nothing too dramatic either unless their board is expecting this team to challenge for CL/EL spots but then they are unrealistic imo.
Surely a bit too many draws in there but it's mostly on their inability to score. That's more on the players and their SD than Pimi though. They've sold YEN last summer and replaced him with Iheanacho who did nothing in first half of the season and is now on loan at Middlesbrough (where he has one goal in 11 games) and then they've spend 5m on Akor Adams who seemingly can't stay fit.
Another problem is midfield. Besides Saul (who is far from his best form too) none of their midfielders is really a fit for Pimi's tiki-taka so he had to adapt. It's pretty telling he used Juanlu Sanchez a lot as a CM/AMC and actually got good production out of him. So Pimienta was probably never the ideal coach for that team and likely to stay longterm but don't see much point sacking him at this time unless they were affraid to get dragged into the relegation battle which I find unlikely because Leganes, Las Palmas and Alaves are just not good enough to make a serious push end of the season to stay up and ofc Valladolid is already relegated (well, not mathematically but they've given up on the season months ago).
Caparros will get two or three wins and "save them" but then they'll have to decide what direction they want to go in. They've offloaded most of the big contracts and could have two big sales this summer (Lukebakio, Bade; Juanlu potentially too but he just renewed few days ago so I expect him to stay) but with La Liga rules it's still impossible to know how much they'll actually be able to spend. I assume not much so they should get a coach that fits their current team the best because signings are unlikely and those that were made under Orta have usually not paid off anyway except for Lukebakio. And he most likely won't be there next season so will need to be replaced.
