Marca definitely isn't the most reputable source, especially when it comes to anything Barca-related but like another poster said when "there's been smoke with Rosell's transfers, there's been fire"... does this mean that Jordi Alba isn't coming then?

Does Barca still go after a CB like Thiago Silva or Javi Martinez? (I'm hoping Martinez, due to his age and I think he'll fit perfectly into our system)

I'm certain that a striker like Van Persie or Llorente would be out of the question then? Would Adrian Lopez still be an option?

Well, I'm definitely voting nay on Bale - I just don't see him as much of an Abidal replacement...He has zero steel as a defender, making Dani Alves look like a full time defender by comparison...He's intriguing on the wing but I'm not interested in the club making a move for the player...I hope their focus is elsewhere

I can imagine how Bale at Barca would look like. The awkward moment when he'll use his pace to start a counterattack and run to the byline just to realise that either a) no one else has moved up to join the counter and the box is empty or b) a bunch of midgets is awaiting his cross in the box.
