He's not awful. He's having a horrible season, perhaps he doesn't fit in Real, but he's an awesome player.

My problem with him is the way people massively overrate his first season in Madrid. Other than that goal against us in the cup, that tap in header against Atletico - completely against the run of play, in a game he was poor as usual - he was average at best.

As a player I don't rate him. He's like a bulkier Schurrle.

People also forget that Bale really had several chances to score in the UCL Final during the first 90 mins. Chances that he botched.

It wasnt against the run of play though, Atletico pretty much defended for 90 minutes.

His flaws are well known, still, he isnt as bad as we have seen him this season. Even when we where in great form he was poor, dont know whats wrong with him, he has the ability to play much better than this. Heck, even when he gets space these days he just screws up.

Jese will probably be back-up, if he is ok with it. He havent got enough time to show his qualities imo, but from what we have seen of him he has a long way to go.

No way Perez doesn't bring in a BIG signing that's already proven and approved rather than bet on Jese and get stuck with him till winter mercato if he doesn't perform, clubs like RM and Barça don't have that luxury .. even though barça does it but that's rather to not overspend, Perez has spain's money so it's all good :)

This morning there was 5 articles about him on top of Marca, there's definitely some kind of media-mind-control going on ^^ I think he'll leave by the end of the season, nobody loves him nor respect him anymore in RM, I don't see why he'll put out with CR7's whining when he could just go back to BPL and be the wonderkid again..

Yeah I rated Bale last season, but it looks very much like everyone is falling out of love & respect for him. Honeymoon period is over. The bullying, the boo boys & Spanish spiders will drive him out; probably be looking to move back to PL or else where I'd imagine.
