Yup. Being at Everton is forcing him to work for a spot and iron out his flaws. It's much better than loaning him out somewhere where he'd be the undisputed star. Finally our management gets something right.

It's the only good thing that happened this summer, besides Neymar of course.

The fact that he actually still is raw and can has tons of room to improve his end product, yet can still produce magic like this, is more of a compliment than a criticism

He's going along brilliantly now, even if the start of the loan was slow. His newfound confidence+his already phenomenal talent is gonna make him an absolute beast during the 2nd half of the season. The rate he's improved in the past month (optimal workrate, team player, and refining his attacking abilities) means he could easily come back next season for Barca and be backup for Alexis/Neymar while integrating to the first team.

Right now, I think he should stay at Everton another season. He still cannot crack a consistent starting spot for them, he'd get even less minutes with Barca. He is growing, which is good, and things could change with half the season still left to play, but IMO another year there would be better than intermittent minutes in Barca, specially considering Everton is in the competition for UCL or UEL, that's more opportunities for good competitive football for Deulofeu.
