Far worse than Gerard? What did Deulofeu do, other than being a squad player for Everton and a bench warmer for Sevilla? And his attitude is not amazing or anything. So far he's done nothing to deserve the hype which surrounds him.

Well, for Barcelona's first team, Deulofeu has done nothing of note. Nothing. That's the cold truth, whether you like it or not.

The main problem of Deulofeu is his attitude when it comes to defending. He hardly makes efforts to press defenders or even tries to regain balls he loses himself. Today,having good technical abilities isn't enough to gain a permanent place in big teams like Barca, Luis Enrique and Unai Emery must have rejected him for this lack of defensive committment.

The reality is that too many people aren't capable of assessing players but rather regurgitate rumours and unsubstantiated drivel on line

Gerard attitude problem is that he doesn't work hard to reach his potential ,GDS was more than that .kid was a party boy that had bad influence on the dressing room and no club wanted to have him 1 month after signing him or so
A squad player for Everton is far better than anything GDS did b4 signing for Mallorca
Gai proved not good enough for Barca B at the age of 19 and is Segunda squad player at best
Gerard was Barca B and Segunda best player at 19 ,not good enough for Barca? sure .even Ibra & Cesc wasn't good enough to stay at Barca(and to be clear ,I am not comparing to them) .but that doesn't mean he is like Gai or be lucky to be GDS
