Think we could have gotten 30+ in this market if not for the buyout clause. If he keeps this up, of course.
It's very early to judge, but I think he may have finally found his place. If the rest of the season goes well for him, he (and Watford) should try to make this move permanent.

unfortunately the market only hyperinflates top players' price. small and middle teams still make lots of small 5m-15m deals for 'avg' players. theres no way we could sell him for 30, not matter the state of the market--unless of course he improves dramatically which is unlikely.

Keep in mind that Deulofeu has started well in most clubs he's been so far (even here he had some decent performances early in the season) but after a month or two he became worse and worse. Let's hope he has finally found a club where he'll play consistently good for more than just few months and that Watford will be enough convinced to actually buy him in summer but for now I won't hold my breath.
We won't sell him now but summer is our last and only option to sell him so if we can get anything close to 10m we should absolutely take that.

The EPL style of football in general is much more compatible with his strengths as a player than the style of football played in Spain, let alone the one played at Barca. So it's apples to oranges in a way. I think he can have a pretty decent career in the EPL playing for a club that hold less emphasis on possession and play more on the break. That's what he should be going for.
He was basically unplayable last night , scored one could easily have had three .. at least one assist or seriously involved in a couple of the goals .
He was clattered a few times as they tried to soften him up ...

EPL style suits him better imo, while he is a good player, I don't think we should continue keeping him because he doesnt look comfortable in a team with heavy posession. Also, he looks really restraint on the right side in Barca where everything is built around Messi, whereas in Watford he can roam freely and be given alot of space. The same thing with Gomes, I just dont think they are bad players its just that Barca doesnt quite suit them.
