no way, that won't happen. I read an article saying that they (barca) won't make the 'Bojan-mistake' again. So I'm pretty sure he continues to get very few minutes this season (like he did until now). So I can't see him being a 1st team member. End of next season maybe, but that also depends on injuries and transfers.
I love him but i want to pull my hair out when he doesn't pass and keeps on dribbling (sturridge much?) Hope its just youthful brashness and Xavi instills some sense into him
Obviously he's growing because up to this summer, he was barely passing at all. Now, he doesn't pass a LOT but he does pass to create scoring chances in the final 3rd. By the time he gets promoted and integrated into the first team even more he'll be fine.
Not comparing him to Messi but Messi's passing looked fantastic at a very young age, a lot of the same passes he does now, always had excellent vision, unlike Deulofeus case. Although your right Deulofeu has improved a lot in this aspect, no doubt he is looking a more intelligent player than he used to.
Haha i agree. The way i like to describe Deulofeu is like a Cristiano Ronaldo who is fixing his faults at an earlier age and at a faster rate. Deulofeu has become FAR less of a ballhog in the past few months and has improved his attitude. However for Ronaldo it's taken years to improve those aspects. And thank god Deulofeu doesn't dive. If he reaches his potential i do see him being as good as Ronaldo (in terms of talent level, not comparing him to Ronaldo). Messi, however, seems untouchable for at least 20-30 years.
Spot on, his shooting is so Ronaldo like because he can shoot from all angles very hard and with both feet. It's actually good he has some selfishness in him because our wingers don't shoot enough these days. If he can eliminate his cockyness and attitude he will be a star, maybe even a superstar.
Del Bosque (coach ESP): "A while ago, we wanted to call up Deulofeu, but we made some calls and decided it wasn't the right moment." [oc]
That's absolutely bat-shit insane.
Good thing he didn't call him up, Deulofeu would probably die due to his ego exploding. Not to mention that it makes no sense considering Spain has much better options.
