In any functioning club players would not be allowed to set up deals to influence the football calendar due to his position at that club.
From view of team mates.. they have to fly off to Saudi Arabia to play a game or two when one team mate is benefiting far more than they are. Wouldnt sit well.
But amigos are largely untouchable.
Pique has a list of behaviours that the best man managers like SAF would have weeded out their dressing room years ago but not Barca. All contributes to current position and not the basics of how a top club behaves on and off the park.
Barca as a club on and off the pitch are outdated and not even sticking to basic principles that other top clubs are.

Fake story about why Pep left when not reality.
He may have wanted Pique or any others to go had he stayed but he never made that ultimatum.

No he never wanted them out and you got the year wrong on a story that was put forward as reason he left in 2012 from some media.
Which was fake knews and doesnt even make any sense logically when look at when Pep told club he wanted to leave.

Very encouraged by reading the transcripts. Pique is someone who could be a future president of Barca. Good to see he has this type of influence in Spanish football. Need that to compete against the likes of Perez and the other power brokers at top UEFA clubs.

I went from optimistic to pessimistic yet again regarding our immediate future as it doesn't sound like Xavi and Laporta are planning on moving on from our vets soon. The very least they ought to do is sign replacement level players, actual proper competition. Players capable of kicking them out from the lineup. That's what you're always supposed to do, or at least try to do as Real Madrid did in Marcelo's case for example by signing Ferland Mendy.
