Yes

We would still win a CL with that team and one or two more after.
Probably not, Laporta in would not have guaranteed a Champions League although we would probably have had a better time from 2016-2021 in terms of CL results.

Maybe, this period was needed so that talents like Pedri, Yamal and Cubarsi appear.
Perhaps we would have had a new stadium by now and we wouldn't have made the transfer blunders post-Neymar? Meaning we would be in a more stable position now.

Bartomeu + Covid nearly bankrupted the club.

Exactly everything would be better and we would definitely have at the very least 5 CL still, most likely more.

Laporta was bringing Abidal, things wouldn't have immediately improve.
We need to realize how rare such amazing moments are, and accept that we usually have to live consequences afterwards.
2015, and the 3 league titles afterwards, were worth it. Just because it pains now, doesn't mean it isn't worth it.

I think Laporta would continue with giving huge wages to everyone and keep the amigos culture. It would be better than with Barto but not much.

Tells it how it is tbf. Would these lads play a game or two at the start of the season, first Copa rounds? Yes.

Would they be starters or sure rotation options? Not in Pep's Barca.
Have to disagree on this one. Cubarsi has almost no weaknesses and would definitely be an upgrade over almost any CB in the Pep Barca even Pique and Puyol. Yamal and Pedri would easily compete for the starting spots.

He wasn't talking about Pedri and Yamal though.

Cubarsi no weaknesses? Agreed that out of the trio mentioned by Pique, he is the only one who can be a rotation option. But he ain't playing ahead of Puyol-Pique.

Depends. Does a 19 year old returning Pique start for Pep over Cubarsi?

I'd say no.

08/09 Balde is easily in the first team mix rotating with Abidal ahead of a 36 year old Sylvinho.

Only one that doesn't get a first team shot is a young Gavi considering Thiago was 18 at the time and hardly played.

Pep is definitely starting pique at 19 over a 16 year old Cubarsi

Pique wasn't a scrub and the age gap would let pep favor pique, even through cubarsi is more talented

Pique was 21 when he returned.

Every time Pique opens up his loud mouth it just convinces me he should be nowhere close to becoming the President of this club.
His football ideas are garbage.

I don't think this was the comparison tbh, he talked about them breaking into first team during their time.
So, not 19 years old Pique, but 21-29 years old Pique, same for Balde.
Grimaldo for example failed to do so and he was a highly rated talent.
What if it was Balde back then and Grimaldo was the one rising now?

I think, all of them would eventually make it, whether here or elsewhere like Grimaldo and Cucurella did. But the timeline would be different.

Pep especially was a bit strict with age, he even asked if he could send Bojan back to B team because he felt he was rushed.

Future club president. cool interview with Casillas. He says whatever is on his mind, no politically right answers or filters bs. Love it.

Cubarsi is amazing for his age but people are sleeping on prime Pique (2010-15)

This guy, especially in 14-15, had the best CB season I’ve seen since 05 onwards.

Only 37 goals conceded in 60 games (record in modern era) in the 14-15 treble season, under his defensive leadership. Alves and Masche were aging, and Alba was attack minded.

Yea pique gets slept on way too much because of the bad years at the end, and even then he was pretty solid, it's the parts Around him that was about.

Pique has always had the benefit of Barca midfield controlling possession in most games. But against good teams, he often got exposed. Also, he was mostly useless on corners unlike Ramos for example.

Also, there is a reason Pep wanted to get rid of Pique according to some sources.
