What if it's Juve trying to get him as Buffon replacement and that's why he's not renewing?

Or it could be that he's just waiting to see what team Milan will build and what their ambitions will be before he commits to them longterm. They've started transfer window pretty good with Musacchio, Ricardo Rodriguez and Kessie. If they can get Morata and some other good players they are on the right track.

Personally I think he should build his own legacy in Milan rather than going living in Buffon's shadows to Juve or just being "one of them" in Madrid where they never really respect their own players like they deserve.

I don't think there's any higher honor for a young Italian goalkeeper than living in Buffon's shadow and when you have all the fame, success, and money that comes with being a Real Madrid player respect is probably seen as less important.

With Buffon confirming his retirement next year, I'd say Juve is the likely destination.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if Madrid try to get him as well.

Should we join the race to get him? I think he is an immediate upgrade over MATS tbh and almost 7 years younger and far bigger potential and won't cost much with contract almost at end.
On other hand GK isn't a need, and he has Raiola

Looks like another great opportunity for RM again. They love that type of profile. Very young, can play for them for 15 years. Extremely talented. And now, 12 months left of the contract. Just what they ordered. He has probably agreed to join RM already and thats why he didnt renew.

Wouldn't mind it, but don't see it happening.

If Milan don't sell him this summer, they should send him to the reserves the entire next season. Why play someone who will be gone anyway.
