One thing that Wijnanldum is not, is some defensive-minded midfielder like I read a lot when we were linked in the summer. He averages less than one tackle and interception a game. In fact some stats websites list tackling as one of his major weaknesses.

He will add decent depth though and still has an engine in him, so for a free transfer, it'll do for a couple of seasons. Especially as he's very good at keeping possession under pressure.

No way he goes to Bayern, he won't want to ride the bench there. He will get a lot more football here.

They are all pretty reasonable, not garbage. For quantity alone it makes sense, especially when we want to get rid of a ton of players.
