lmao. How can you become fat over like 2 months. I just turned 30 and I'm not even a soccer player...I'd have to do heinous things to my body to put on belly fat like that in 2 months.

He's alway been 'beefy', even last season. Some players are just like that, like Suarez. They 'look' fat but are actually fit. Atleast fit enough to last a football match.

Professional athletes eat like maniacs, if they completely skip any physical activity then they gain fat. Certain body types are even more prone to that, like when you are an 'easygainer' like Higuain who can build muscles very quick, but also gains a lot of weight once he's lazy.

The last two posts make no sense. Athletes eat more calories because they burn more training. When you aren't training, your not supposed to keep eating like a maniac because of course you are going to store it as fat.

If you are a pro athlete it is no one's fault but your own if you gain fat like that in barely 2 months.

And he used to be very lean at RM.

Don't most of the top tier athletes hire nutritionists anyway?

He's been eating too much at Tata's barbecues.

I see it more as just relaxing a little bit during the holidays, which is within his rights except that he probably went overboard with it.

They probably have strict diets, and it's good to take breaks from that.

What do you mean by "they make no sense".
It is an explanation to your question, 'how does one manage to gain weight so fast' and not what he is supposed to do to NOT gain fat. How is it not making sense to you?

For a top tier athlete, that belly is unacceptable..end of story...especially for one that costs 95 million EUR (Even for Arda @ 40 million, we give him a lot of stick, and quite rightly so)

Considering Juventus traditionally exhausting preseason training, I can see Higuain dropping those pounds again after a few months, we will see how much the extra wheight will actually affect his fitness.

His weight issues began when he got injured at the end of 2013-14, and then showed up to the WC training camp a li'l overweight. And ever since it's gotten worse each summer, which makes me think that his failures over the last 3 summer tournaments must have something to do with it. I mean its documented that stress can augment appetite in some folks, leading to obesity.
