Flick got out-coached tonight. We couldn't find space anywhere. All 3 lines. They intercepted balls in our third, pressed our midfield relentlessly and allowed no space to Raphinha and co upfront.
Flick responded with Olmo but nothing changed.

Don't think it would have been different with Lamine in but who knows.

Agree!

We have to work on how to overcome their initial press through better buildup.
Cubarsi and Inigo have the propensity to always throw the long ball no matter what.
More patience was needed tonight to find the right path and play through them via Pedri Casado and Frenkie/Olmo

Missing Yamal obviously hurts but I think Flick got the starting lineup wrong and the changes were disappointing. Gavi should came on at least 20 minutes earlier not in the 80th minute when the game was dead and half buried. Pau should come on earlier, too
I won't lie I had flashbacks of last seasons and Xaviball while watching the game. I hope it's just one bad day at the office.

Correction Gavi came on in 84th minute. Well that sucks. Anyway, it's just one game, so no worries I guess. I don't think we can play any worse, so... yeah

I am worried about one thing only. He needs to find a way to win matches when we are in a bad day also. Even under Pep in our golden era we had many scrappy wins when our game wasn't working.

La Liga is a hard league.

Sociedad has conceded less goals than we have, only 10, Hansi underestimated their defense, Flickball doesn't work against those hardworking low block teams.

So he needs a backup plan, this is really a one trick pony.
