Let's see who is more idiot than the three at the end of the season.

Or Malvolio, who is hiding in his cave since Hansi got the team rolling?

There are levels to this

Coming from the person who thinks GARRINCHA is better than fucking THierRY HENRY.
Not even in FIFA buddy where his stats are inflated.
89 pace ...my booty.
Garrincha is better than Henry though, when you strip away the natural fitness advantages. What did Henry ever actually do in the game outside the confines of a PL which wasn't yet the best? He was a bit part player at France 98 and not particularly impressive at any other tournament. Constantly outshined by a far superior player in Zidane. Poor in the CL in general. Failed at Juventus and was past his best at Barcelona despite winning the treble. He was a third wheel behind Messi and Eto'o in that attack.

Garrincha is widely recognised as one of the best players ever and was sensational in Chile 1962. Do some reading and you will find that out. Do you just think anyone who played in the 50s and 60s not named Pele is automatically worse than modern footballers?

The weirdest thing about Henry is this revisionism since he retired that he was an R9 level talent. He was an excellent player but he was much more on Suarez or Benzema level, and I'd take them both over him tbh. Someone like Neymar was much more talented than Henry. I bet you are way too young to have watched him in his prime - he was never as amazing as you believe he was ie an all-time great level player. Honestly Bergkamp was more talented than Henry when they were at Arsenal.

Also you really know nothing about Garrincha referencing his pace on a pointless video game - he didn't need staggering pace, unlike Henry.

Try to reply without engaging in ad homs - I know you can do it.

Outside of World Cup 1962 (or 1958 too), i never see anything mentioned from Garrincha's career. He was known for starting the self destruction of Brazilian football star while Pele was a pro athlete.

He was incredible dribbler too. But overall i find Henry is a better footballer.

Excellent for Botafogo too, in an era when Brazilian football was very very good. But of course to some like IniestaGOAT it doesn't count because it isn't European football in the 21st century.

If you haven't seen anything mentioned from Garrincha's career, that just highlights how he's another forgotten great from a past era, or that maybe you haven't looked hard enough. Amongst serious scholars he is seen as a top 20 player of all time. Henry isn't at that level.

Garrincha is often (not always) considered the second or third best Brazilian ever (Pele and Ronaldo the others). He gets named above Ronaldinho, Romario, Socrates, Gerson, Rivelino, Rivaldo, Didi, even Zico, all of who were also better than Henry for me from watching some full games and some highlights.

Henry, while an excellent talent and player (I'm not saying he isn't one of the best players of his generation), never did anything in his career outside the PL in the early 2000s. He was consistently mediocre at international tournaments and outshined by a vastly superior talent in Zidane. He's a greatest of his generation type player, not a greatest of all time. It's baffling that people elsewhere wanna revise history and act like he had Brazilian Ronaldo levels of ability - he was never close to that.

Not great sources maybe (I can't find many), but here are two places that put Garrincha above Henry. I expect you can find better ones and I expect they'd do similar.

I am quite surprised by the comments from a few on this forum, as I always thought Garrincha was recognised by most football fans as a top twenty player of all time.

But we can agree to disagree.

Btw that Bundesliga defender Barca was all hyped about according to polo or whoever is just getting exposed by a 2. Bundesliga team.

But they're all FREE, and big clubs like Manure and Buyern are also interested, known for their excellent transfers!
