How do you define controled?
The team average the highest possession per game in Liga since 19/20 season, so surely not controling the ball.

You want a safer approach and lesser risks? But that's what made us a consistently declining team for the past decade. Football now is about quickness and ability to surprise your opponents to create chances, risks comes with that.

That is especially true when we have limited number of creative player. Lamine is the only creative attacker we have, and none of our midfielders is an elite creator atm. There is no individual brilliance to rely on with a controlled approach.

I would like a more conservative defense, but I am willing to take the risk of better attack if it means conceding some goals, this is actually the true Barca DNA.

'Control' for some means the slow ass baked and toothless buildup with predictable patterns that we saw under Xavi.

Bewildering that some prefer that depressing stuff to Flick's dynamic fast-paced complete domination football that we saw in its bloom for 3 months

Having a more chaotic approach makes you more unpredictable. When you control all the possession you become predictable and the opposition sit back and know what to expect. If Pep had a bit more chaos we would have beaten Inter.
Alot of people forget the fact that Pep had probably the greatest squad of all time.
This team has good players but they're soft and inconsistent. Except for maybe Raphinha I don't see any leadership on the pitch.
You’ve gone from blaming Xavi and Laporta to now calling the squad soft, just to excuse some of the obvious shortcomings of Flick.

Look past the obvious bias. Flick has some tremendous qualities but he’s also a bum in some regards. Especially when it comes to flexibility.

5 points in 5 games is unnaceptable

You don’t need to beat teams 5-0 to win the league

You can draw the atletico or Real Madrid away games just make sure you beat the teams you’re expected to win

We didn’t even have any games against Bilbao or Atletico away ffs those are coming up for more dropped points

This manager is honestly clueless, psg likely to qualify for champions league with 5 points in how many games. there’s no need to drop points in a league that traditionally goes down to the wire just for fkn young boys.

So many naive substitutions, and at other teams wasting players scoring 5 goals when he should be resting them after 3-0.

The best team doesn’t necessarily win the league but the most consistent team..

We aren’t Real Madrid to go all in on fluke champions league wins, anything can happen in cups.

This manager isn’t for me, I’m officially out and I think we will go trophy less to be honest

Control would be to play a bit more conservatively when you're up 1-2 goals in a hostile environment away with not many minutes to play, where you instruct the players to try to slow down the tempo and not try to spam attacks and risk losing possession in a position where you open up yourself up for a counter-attack.

Maybe not have your backline so high up the pitch either. Obviously not saying they should park the bus, but you can try to slow the game down, a play a bit more conservatively and force the opposition to be the ones to commit higher up the pitch. That way you might also get a couple of opportunities to counter-attack to seal the game.

Whether you trust your team to be able to soak up the pressure is another discussion, but with our squad and the situation we're in right now, Flick will need to be more flexible at times.

This is not the Bundesliga of the late 2010s and very early 2020s that he was a part of. Teams here will use their brains and various tactics instead of playing like the usual German mid-table team of years ago that would play suicidal football and let Bayern score 8 goals on them.

His subs and rotations in general so far have been terrible as well. Rotated against the wrong team and time. Subbed out the wrong players.

Like with Raphinha in the recent game. Maybe he was tired? But then why have you kept him on so many times in games where we have led with 3+ goals? Maybe if you subbed him out then from time to time he'd be fresh enough to play the full 90 in a game like the recent one?

XAVI has proven the squad can soak up the pressure in the league 100 times,
And if Flick was a little less naive.
Could have saved us 6-8 points.

Catching teams offside by 1mm is not real football.
Gimmick football dont win you trophies,

Need to get Thiago back asap to translate. After January we will be unstoppable.

Right now Flick is telling the players to all out attack and instead they are booking holidays to Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim.

I think this is an element that few would complain about.

But Serghei said control in opposite to direct and risky way to attack that Flick added, so I doubt that's what he wants

I want us to not rush attacks constantly resulting in chaotic end to end games. More structure, less chaos. It doesn't mean that some directness is not welcome. Flick needs to fix it or we will continue to face multiple shots because teams in La Liga defend pretty well and know how to attack spaces. Teams have a go at us far more often than in the past, I do not like this. You can't score 3-4 goals in every match and if you constantly face 10+ shots at your goal you will lose too many points in the long run.

So far, if we don't score 3+ vs a decent team, we tend to lose points. It's a real problem and it's not something light.

We should be playing like Barca with some german edge, not like a naive German team with a feint Barcelona resemblance.
