That's the Real/Barca job for you. Two horse race league and arguably the two biggest managerial jobs in club football?

What do you expect?
Well, we are one of the (three) horses now, and we're 2nd in the CL table, so its hard to imagine anyone would sack the manager in this scenario even if recent results have been hugely disappointing.

The fact we have managed to drop so many points and still held 1st is a testament to how well we started.

Only way he gets sacked is falling below 4th likely.

I am fairly confident we will win La Liga in the end, and there are good chances we will win SuperCopa and Copa del Rey
Madrid is our only rival to these titles, there is no Atleti etc.
So far we have been better than them despite our recent slump

As for CL, I am not so sure.
Yes, big European wins is something this club needed so much.
We are at a level right now where we can win away at BvB, we can thrash Bayern in our night, etc.
But I can't see us eliminating in KO double game Liverpool or Arsenal.
There are top teams we haven't faced so far that know how to punish us unfortunately.

The point being made was that pressure and media gossip is there 24/7 at a club like Barca. Atletico won leagues when Barca and Real were shite, not because they had some tremendous teams. So hard to consider it a three horse league yet.

Of course Bumsi can't be fired now, but he is in danger of being sacked at the end of the season if current form continues.

All titles? Not with this arrogant attitude.

Delusional.

Squad had 2 days rest after defeat against Leganes.

Instead of stripping them off their Barca kits and make them swim in cold river and do few kms run they took few days off.

So much for Hitler memes.

And then when they return for Atletico there's our "home crowd" that demands nothing from them.

Laporta needs to shake things up.

Nobody is talking about sacking Flick. That would be absurd, to replace the manager at the first sign of trouble while you are first in the league.

But we should expect a statement win vs Atletico. Not winning this match would complicate the situation in the league quite a bit.

Those were just jokes and basically banter from most posters. Nobody but silly people thought he's gonna be this military type manager that will train these young players like never before and that injuries will miraculously vanish. Not like under the previous technical staff there were any issues regarding physical shape.

I personally never took that part seriously. Young players will naturally get tougher as they make the transition to adults, which happens somewhere in the mid 20s.

So... for me the only big issue he needs to work on is defensive stability. The team concedes far too easily due to naive football that is not very effective in a league known for some top notch pragmatic football.

I would personally work on the defense more, rather than put pressure on the forwards to produce outstanding numbers offensively every time. This has to be done tactically, just pep talk about being focuses and whatnot ain't gonna cut it.

Luckily, not many teams in CL that can park a top notch bus. Most top teams are pretty shite defensively and play a style of football that is convenient for Flick.

What happened to Thiago? he would come back to Barcelona as some kind of mediator/assistant this season, was here 2 weeks and then he disappeared.

So desperate to look for excuses while you were all over Xavi. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It the players don't listen to a coach then we have a coaching problem, don't you think? And I would say a bigger one than if a coach doesn't have enough tactical knowledge or adaptability (which is my biggest concern with Flick).

The difference between Flick and Xavi is one has a plan and clear pattern on how to play, while the other doesn't.
When we execute Flicks plan we win b8g and in style. Xavis "plan " was score a goal and hold on for dear life. Alot of the players look confused and it didn't help that he always talked them down in public.
Xavi was massively supported, considering the circumstances. Flick won't be.
I think we have to come to terms with the fact that we have to temper expectations until we can actually spend money. Problem is when we spend money, we spend on duds. Roque being the prime example. I think the club is moving in the right direction with scouting from Africa. The South American market isnt what it used to be and you have to overpay for any hyped up youngster nowadays.
Sack Flick and hire .......??????
