What is this nonsense? I never thought of the 2011 finals in the context of a title. Never. I only think of the quality of play against a top club.

I remember the Valverde era. We were winning La Liga titles, but I was constantly criticizing the quality of the team's play during that period, I didn't care about the results. There was so much criticism that I was banned from the forum with the words - hidden Madrid fan. Your words that I highlighted sound just awful coming from a Barcelona fan.

Nobody would remember 2011 if we didn't win the UCL fool
Stop posting nonsense
Just like msn would be remembered as a failure without cl

Results and quality have to go hand in hand. It is the core principle of this club's philosophy. If you have one but not the other, there is a problem. So we currently have a problem, because we lack the results. Problems are there to be fixed and learnt from. If you have neither, you deserve to get sacked. Hence, Flick doesn't deserve to get sacked yet and as long as good overall performances of our team continue.

Going by this Johan would be on the brink of sacking him now.

I highly doubt that but unfortunately we can't know

I know Johan values team performance as well as the results of his team. If you go by that, Flick is nowhere near the "sackable" area. He should still be given time considering the performances, despite the results.

Not much more to be said. Yes, the league results have been bad, but the manager should be given time to solve these issues.

Next season is gonna be telling if he can do it, or a tough league like La Liga is too much for his brand of football to function in a consistent manner.

In the cups things can look very different.
Next year Madrid might get Alonso as manager plus some defensive reinforcements. Their attack might finnaly gel and that's that.

My opinion is that if Flick doesn't take this opportunity he has this season, he'll surely be fired the next one.

Looking at Yamal and how he played.
How would you think this team would have faired?
Raph instead of Yamal, Gavi on the LW (which he has played and will give him room), Olmo as a False 9 (No Tractor) and Pablo Torre as the 10.
I believe Torre is a much better Distributer than Gavi, and poses better vision for through balls and defense-splitting pass ala Pedri, combine that with Olmo I think we could have created even more chances, and have better players in the box to take those chances.

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't see how we break these Low blocks with Lewa and Yamal having a bad game.

Stop it. CL run is great and we play better football and without whining.

Flick needs to learn though. Said he was surprised with an atmosphere on the stadium. Would expect Barca manager to do his homework and not act like Alice in wonderland.
La Liga is more complex than Bundesliga and teams are way more cynical. Refs are worse too. But he should have known that.

What CL run? We are still in group stage. People give way too much importance to these irrelevant games.

Flick only has plan A. When that doesn't work he's clueless.

Exactly.

He could also go down as first Barca manager to allow Madrid winning back to back titles in like 35 years.

Hard to argue with you when you give more importance to Liga Getafe match than trashing of Real in Super Cup final.

One was seen by tens, maybe hundred million people, earned us 7 mil., nevermind trophy against a rival, prestige and winning fans over.
