Do you believe it can be a building block towards trophies and better results in the future though?

He did not, in the sense you mean it.
But micro-tweaks according to opposition are always welcome.
What I am surprised about is that debate never goes beyond current season. If Flick fails on La Liga, but team is improving substantially on many fronts doesn’t that warrant some excitement for future?
Also, believe likely we win Copa del Rey and we still in race for others.
He himself said it.
Just own it bro, we were right when we were saying he needs to drop his line a bit deeper.
I'm over the moon he did, gives me hope we could beat a top side later on in the CL
He said what?
Our trajectory is very good.
Even in LaLiga position is vastly below where it should be.
Let's just take two games. The VAR miscorrection versus Sociedad and then Getafe this weekend. Even Lahoz said it was easily a penalty and didn't require any VAR assistance. That could be 6 points.
But even then, even on other games our metrics were way better than the end scorelines.
Back to tonights game. It was a freak game as I said before, but a huge win. It's the type of euphoric win that the team can rally from and go on another run after.
In the post match very Madrid he admitted he adjusted the line

Honestly, I am not looking at refereeing mistakes to excuse our position this time. Our team has been very wasteful with chances and I can get on board with the theory that Flick was not as well prepared for La Liga. But even if he isn’t, for me most important is he’s aware of that and working towards fixing it. Think he’s capable enough if is the case. Basically, I agree think trajectory is promising.
