Our trajectory is very good.

Even in LaLiga position is vastly below where it should be.

Let's just take two games. The VAR miscorrection versus Sociedad and then Getafe this weekend. Even Lahoz said it was easily a penalty and didn't require any VAR assistance. That could be 6 points.

And that's without even getting into the metrics on the other games where we missed way too many chances and didn't win.

Back to tonights game. It was a freak game as I said before, but a huge win. It's the type of euphoric win that the team can rally from and go on another run after.

Let's just hope this win isn't another PSG 2-6.

We've seen this movie before, maybe

I can agree with this pretty much. For me our attack has been great, this is the only part I don't agree with.

Best part about Flick so far is that he is making the players better.

That chance against Getafe where ball gets crossed passed goal and all our players miss?

Who gave cross forgot. Kounde?

And yes him improving the players is one of things that has me excited.

We missed 2 sitters again. Our attack is great if it has space, as tactics, but as quality is rather mediocre.

I understand the whole miss chances argument.

But every team misses chances it's not just us, that's apart of football.

If madrid didn't mess so many in the 4-0, things could have been different.

IF!!!

After never seen away match comeback in CL, despite 2 blunders by our gk and an own goal he pines for Xavi and whines how outcoached Flick was at 70-30 possession and 17-6 shots in our favor.

Some people just can't be helped.

We are leading team in europe in chances created by a fine margin. Have to look into the stats but against teams that sit deeper we somehow miss too many. Maybe due to pressure dunno.

Could be way off.

The fact that the team is very vulnerable in defense is clear at this point, and something to improve in the future, this is undeniable. But as fans of the club we need to take the positives of this season and there are quite a few. Let the man work and see what he can improve, then if some things remain the same and impede our progress we shall see.

But the idea remains that he improves players, especially offensive players, and this will remain in the team for many years under future managers. Pedri and Raphinha are playing the best football they ever played so far.

Flick's approach is not to mold himself to the squad, but force the players to improve so his ideas can bring success for the club. Even if he doesn't make it, the improvements remain. I think we will go pretty far in CL. Probably semis, possibly final, even have a decent shot at winning it.

Yep I'm definitely the only one talking about the high line and how many times benfica got through.

It was a shit performance from us what do you expect

Thing is Flick managed to deliver a win out of such a performance, despite players letting him down and didn't give up until the end even though most of managers would just switch to preventing more goals conceded. That's what should be talked about.

Add to that, the most important stat:
Big chances (non penalty): Benfica 4 - Barcelona 6

If you really subtract the Pavlidis goal handed by Tek and Balde playing goofball,
it's really 3-6 to us in chances produced by a team's own doings

'high line, leaky' blah blah blah
still we created more CLEAR BIG CHANCES than them, and should have won this, despite the 'shit performance'

Expect goals benfica 3.26 v 3.69

That opened us at will, deal with it and move on.

Take away Woj fuck up. The fuck up was as a direct result of the freaking high line.

😂

They could open us up at will, everyone saw it, deal with it.
