Most of those who wanted him gone or the usuals suspects who have been wrong about every transfer we've made under laporta.

Oh 9m euros blah blah blah.

He was always a good signing that constantly picked up little injuries over the season that prevented him from gaining any real momentum.

What he has this season is continuity, how things would have looked if Christensen wasn't injured who knows, I suspect he would be the one starting with cubarsi.

He had just two injuries, one in the summer and another that sidelined him in December and January. Otherwise, he was fit and available throughout the season.

It’s natural that he’d improve after a year with the club, but I credit Flick for getting even more out of him.

While some numpties thought Faye was better than Cubarsi...

Martinez such a good signing want rid of him and claim shouldnt be a starter even now...

9m for Inigo is a lot at his age and was not value last season.

Been good this season.

Same folk who wanted Xavi to stay and thought Gundo had to stay with him and Olmo should never be signed.

Same folk who said Yamal 'looks shite'

Same folk that said La Masia player through soon better than Pedri etc.... and Gavi/Gundo better in a two than Pedri.

Same folk who said Bernal years away and not good enough.

Transfers under Laporta.. who is it that wanted Raphinha gone last summer? Said Lewa would be sold last summer? Said Kounde or Araujo will be sold soon?

Same folk who said Laporta wrong to sack Xavi.

Same folk who said Fati contract made sense and hes going to show yall.

Same folk who like to pretend always rated Rodri.. when clearly didnt.

Usual numpties.

Seems to be conveniently forgotten by the usual crowd we're missing a goalkeeper who had his best ever season (won player of the year in la liga) when we won the league with Xavi. Now we're calling goalkeepers out of retirement who in their prime we wouldn't have had as first choice.
Other things that are forgotten:
-Araujo, Christensen FDJ, Bernal and Gavi were out for long periods due to injury
-Lewandowski is a year older
-Cancelo is gone, meaning that kounde and balde have to play almost every game since their backups aren't at the same level
-Gundogan left, limiting the number of options we have in midfield
-The only signing Flick got is an injury prone player that has never played up to 30 games in a season

Yet in spite of all this, some people believe that flick has a better squad and should be sacked if he doesn't meet their bloated expectations this season

Yup completely agree. Maybe they think we're making excuses for if Flick fails. I personally don't believe these are valid excuses for Flick if we were to crash out of all competitions in a bad way. Results and trophies obviously matter, especially here. It's just fair to include this information when comparing the two coaches.
