You're welcome
Heynckes on Flick in a joint interview, 2020: "Hansi has a gift of empathy and ability to communicate. Football is not just about technicality and physicality, the soul is as important. Knowing how to deal with the players and the staff is fundamental, and Hansi has excelled when it comes to that.”
Scenes when people realize he doesnt even speak Spanish.

Doesn't have to, some people just have that ability. Like those guys that go in forest tribes and somehow get along and understand everything those people want to say... I've always been amazed. One Serbian guy Maricic, I love to watch him sometimes. He speaks Serbian with guys from Indonesia and they get along. Something natural, it goes beyond the language.

Pedri: "Hansi Flick is entirely responsible for our performances. We imposed a different style of play than last season, especially in terms of the defensive line and the pressing we apply. He imposed his way of competing on us, and he succeeded in transferring it to the team."

Pedri taking more indirect shots at Xavi.

Feels noticeable that Barca players have become more opinionated and outspoken lately.

Wonder if that is also Flicks influence coming through a bit and wanting that arrogance/ belief in there that other top teams have.

That's body language, but it's not Flick's case.

I read somewhere they teach La Masia kids English. And I've seen training footage of Flick communicating with young players one on one. My assumption is they conversate in English. Not Swahili.

Doesn't have to be sophisticated English, just basic words to instruct players.

There's clearly a lot of pent-up frustration, especially in Xavi's last season.

But while Laporta got a lot of shit and decided to sack Xavi at the end of the season it ended up being the right call for everyone involved. The team was playing like crap with no improvements in sight. Xavi kept throwing the team under the bus at times, saying we cannot compete with the likes of Real etc.

It was only a matter of time before he lost the locker room completely. For Xavi's sake, it's probably good that he left. Took a year off and get things in order before he took on another job.

Let's say he wins 1. La Liga and 2. gets the Champions Leage final, then that's an excellent 1st season under the new manager. The squad is young, so the transition project that Xavi initiated could be said as complete.
Maybe the treble is a little bit too much and too early to hope for but if it won't suprise me if it happens.

I’ve been watching highlights of this LaLiga season so far and man, what a journey. Filled with generational scoring, great football and drama. No matter what this team does in the coming months, I’ve been so proud of them and the best is still yet to come from this insane squad and the philosopher named Hans-Dieter Flick.

Very disappointed with Pedri.
