I know too many madrid fans. Going to be annoying weeks if they scrape a win.

I am also starting to worry a bit about the raphinha Lamine dynamic.

Especially raphinha seems frustrated as hell past weeks.

Yea the potential of losing would be too nerve racking for either fanbase, i would rather not see it, but the prospect is tantalizing.

Raphinha in probably just feeling himself a bit too much and is trying to be a leader on the pitch, I'm not worried about that dynamic, they will be fine when it matters most.

What i like most since the turn of the year and he's said it himself in interviews, is the improvement in defensive shape and focus.

This combined with our ability to manage possession and break down defensive more effectively, we aren't as 100% vertical as we were at the start of the season, well more like 80%.

It's a better mix of traditional barca style with his view on football.

Listening to luis Garcia saying kind of the same thing in a interview.

He understands that in spain you won't win games 4-3 all the time, he's added that pause to our game.

There were those that argued for him to be more pragmatic and those that argued against.

If he had listened to the latter it would have been a Madrid Derby Copa final and not a Classico one.

Kudos to him for seeing his faults from early on in the season, where we needlessly gave away many wins.

In the last 20 minutes today we gave Atleti a taste of their own cautious medicine.

And I loved every fucking minute of it.

There were those who suported him regardless and those who wanted xavi back or EV. The team dropped back because it was a bit pushed back it was not really that tactical, Barcelona was pressing high even in the last minutes and some fans started to protest their impotence to exit the pressing cage.

If he would have the 2009 trio I bet my kidneys nobody will push us back for more than 2 m.

Because teams actually fear us? Possession is a given since we don't have the quality to breakdown lines. And since we have only two game masters we are easy to push back at times and then it seems we are having a tactical change. There were games when we definitely played more defensive football like when Cubarsi got a red but I see the same ideas only with different players. FDJ Pedri are not Casado and Fermin.

It would be insane if both us and madrid went to the CL final and we literally had to play each other for the treble this year.

If he won all 3, he would be up there with pep and cryuff because Madrid would never live that down.

It would actually be 4 lol
He is better than both if he wins the 3, against Real? This squad is absolutely average, it's his magic entirely. Only Laudrup was better than Pedri, FDJ and Fermin combined. Koeman was a monster.
There is nothing wow about our players if we remotely compare them with past generations. Here and there a great goal and pass but nothing to make you fear them, it's the system.

May 2024: Everything looks hopeless, with Vardrid winning CL and LL, and getting Mbappe, they look like a team thats going to dominate for a decade. We, on the other hand, look like a couple of years away from just competing for titles, let alone domination.

April 2025: Total domination. Explosive play. On course to show the world how to destroy Vardrid. If all goes well, Vardrid won't see a trophy this season.
Amazing stuff with the same team. Now imagine if we could spend a bit. Get some good backups. Thats all.
