It was fatigue. But it was also induced through Flick's action.
He should have rested Yamal, played Raf instead. Raphinha had a game rest. So it would have been better.
Should have rested Pedri, FDj and Gavi was good enough of midfield. Pedri has played a lot more minutes than both. He needed rest.

I didnt blame Flick for our drop in form during Dec. Our squad was thin at that time, he didnt have choices. But now he has no excuse to rotate. Which he hasnt been, for our key players. This will bite ourself in the ass.
I hope it doesn't.

It was first time in 14 years 2 teams in La Liga met coming on a wave of 6 straight wins.
Betis is a solid side, they need to be given credit. Our players are not robots and Flick has a thin squad.

Yes, we can't forget it was the 4th match for us in 10 days. Absolute insane schedule thanks to LaLiga forcing the Osasuna game 2 days after int games.

We got out well from this spell of 4 games and even increased the lead to the 2 rivals, Madrid and Atletico. We need to calm down. Just because we didn't get a bigger lead doesn't mean we're still not firmly in control.

Anyone who thinks he's going to rest players from the gala XI is crazy lol.

Most he should do is sub them when possible.

But he's starting his best XI, for the rest of the season as he should, every game is a "final" now.

I only get frustrated when he doesn't sub the players after the game is obviously won.

Ngl so many people here are overreacting. Yesterday was just fatigue and what can you expect. You can’t expect perfection and win every single game from now until the end of the season (hopefully the 6th in Munich) anyways calma and 4 points ahead of Real Madrid is still really really good. You guys are acting as if Real Madrid will go on a monster run and win 8/8. Which I severely doubt is happening. Next game is Dortmund and I am 100% confident that the team will look exponentially better than they did yesterday.
I take it as a positive

People complaining this much about a dominant 1-1 draw against 2nd most in-form team in the league, after 9 consecutive wins and still on a 22 unbeaten streak...

It means we're good, they're too spoiled

Every game is a important, but a game vs Dortmund, or Bayern, or Inter is more difficult than a game in La Liga vs Valladolid, Leganes, etc. Torre is plenty good for those games vs lesser opponents. Take vs Osasuna, Torre delivered an amazing pass for Lewandowski's 3-0 goal. That's very similar to the passes Pedri makes. He could be a good weapon to take some load off Pedri if we're smart about this.

Why not use these players as we go into the most difficult period of the season? Makes total sense to use players that have the ability to step in. And Torre proved he does. He is on 4 goals and 3 assists in 420 mins. That's a goal or an assist for every 60 mins played this season.

Torre needs more minutes quite clearly. If I have a criticism of Flick, it's his stubbornness of playing Pedri and Yamal almost non stop. And the bad news is they both looked well off the pace today.

Needs more minutes.

Pedri is actually one of the easier players to rotate, because flick believes in gavi and think that's his best position, but as of olmo's injury gavi is also in his gala XI and is being treated differently due to his injury.

Leganes won't be an easy game, look at what they've done to the top 3.

He's going full gala XI in that one, maybe 1 change.

The core 14-15 players have to just suck it up now and play, if they want to be rested, win the game early.

Not the right approach. We started Torre away to Villareal and won the game 5-1 with him delivering a very good performance. If he's good enough to start vs Villareal and make a difference, he's good enough to start vs Leganes.

Starting all the key players time and time again is a good plan if they look fresh. But if they go out and look slow and tired, it's a bad plan. He messed up the line-up vs Betis imo. Needed more rotations.
