Not the right approach. We started Torre away to Villareal and won the game 5-1 with him delivering a very good performance. If he's good enough to start vs Villareal and make a difference, he's good enough to start vs Leganes.

Starting all the key players time and time again is a good plan if they look fresh. But if they go out and look slow and tired, it's a bad plan. He messed up the line-up vs Betis imo. Needed more rotations.

Nah he did the rigit thing, especially against the 2nd most inform team in la Liga as they showed yesterday and even then we could have scored the 2nd goal.

Only thing i would have done differently yesterday was sub off yamal for Raphinha.

He subbed out de Jong who is vital now give casado's injury and garcia did well.

Took out Pedri after he thought the game was more or less loss.

Gavi dropping into Pedri's position and fermin at 10, also worked out well.

Betis were just out equal yesterday and a few more decision making by some players.

No, he didn't. Both his star creators looked leggy, tired, slow, uninspired, giving the ball away for fun. You're supposed to rest them if they are tired. It was still ok, because Madrid fecked up even worse than us, so we actually ended up winning this round.

He has to rest Yamal and Pedri now. Unless this is simply an isolated incident and they will be back to full fitness in just a matter of days.

Yamal didn't look leggy betis just defended him well.

Just give the opposition some credit.

They brought the 2nd defended in at the right time almost perfectly.

They also made sure Pedri didn't have any passing lanes, he would get that ball, dribble and just had the pass it back.

No chance you rotate against a team that has won 6 in a row after your main rivel just lost.

He looked bad to me. Atletico is a better tream than Betis, but his level simply wasn't even close to what he showed in the Copa a few days before. Probably he was tired, and would've been much better if he was rested instead of playing so much while not feeling very well out there.

It's not a huge deal, btw, very hard to make the best decisions all the time. Since players will very rarely come forward and make it known that they are tired and not in good match shape.

They are a better team, doesn't mean they played better, which they certainly didn't TBH.

Atleti was trash in the first half and decent in the 2nd.

I see your point, but you dont rotate yesterday, no coach on earth would under the circumstances.

You can maybe risk it against leganes and that's 1 or 2 players Max.

I don't understand why Torre doesn't play more considering the packed schedule. He has shown he can contribute already.

Would play him more too. As few others probably. Pau too should have come on many times in those matches where we killed it earlier. And there were plenty.

Potential CL semis are in between Copa and league Clasico's.

That period will take a lot from the team.

Yeah, will need to start taking some risks. I know Leganes is potentially a banana peel match, but we need to go there, rest some players, and get the win. We have done it before and we can do it.

We have Leganes, Celta, Mallorca, and Valladolid. Very good schedule for us to rest some key players and still end up with maximum points, with the away games to 2 of the botttom 3 clubs.

Knowing Madrid, they will do the same. Espect to see likes of Arda Guller and Endrick playing more in La Liga as CL decisive matches approach.

Torre should definitely get some more minutes, especially in the past few months.

But when you think about it he's 4th in the pecking order at 10, so it makes sense.

We should be seeing way more fermin, that's flicks only L this season, he's regressed but youth players tend to drop back a bit in there 2nd season.

Pau has not lived up to the pre season hype, you only sub him in when the game is won.

Hope things would have been different with Fati, but its clearly over for him at the club 😔

Torre is the only good Pedri replacement we have without Olmo. The only one with the ability to play those needle through balls, even if not at the consistency of Pedri.

You will see. They will put it all on cups this season as usual. It's a reason they didn't win 2 league titles in a row for almost 20 years.

If we won yesterday and they believe they have no chance maybe.

But while they have a chance, nothing about Carlo are Madrid tells us they will play the kids in the league.

Endrick will just keep playing the way he's been all season a start here and there, and sub appearances. He's actually a special talent.

Guler will keep warming the bench.

We have 5-6 squad players that have played well when given a chance, and we need now more than ever to keep trusting them. Mainly Gavi, Ferran, Torre, Fermin, Garcia, and even Martin.

Use that to keep our offensive creators fresh. Those are Pedri, Yamal, Balde, De Jong, most importantly. If multiple of those come out and appear tired in a decisive game, we will have a big problem on our hands.

Players like Raphinha, and Lewandowski are basically finishers in this team. They will need others to put them into very good positions as they are pretty limited in build-up. The ones that drive the game forward and are absolutely key to bring the ball to the strikers in good positions are Balde, Pedri and Yamal. I felt all of them had a shite match vs Betis out of tiredness above all.

Pedri had that elite pass for Kounde that could have won us the match, but other than that... nothing good. Balde and Yamal fucked up almost every build-up that relied on them for proper development.
