Amazing start in La Liga.

Flick is doing wonders with our weak links of DM and LW in the squad. Marc Bernal is injured, okay bring Casado. Casado gets injured, bring another kid and he will deliver. Raphinha is uncomfortable at LW, okay, play him more central and Balde covers it.

The problem is we don't have the squad depth to cover in other areas. There's no second option to Lewa, CBs are all injured, CMs are all injured and not season fit. Spring of 2025 this team might collapse at some point. And it wouldn't be Flick's fault.

We have an okay depth if the injured players return. We have enough CBs in quality and quantity with Araujo, Christensen, Cubarsi and Inigo. With Frenkie, Fermin and Gavi returning this year we also have 3 more options in the midfield. The only construction site left is Lewy's backup. Flick needs to keep him fresh and give Pau Victor more time to play.
We just need a pause from the injuries and the team is good enough to win LaLiga and go into Quaters/Semis in the CL.

"Now that Barça is beating Girona 4-0, don't forget that four months ago there were people who thought it was normal for Girona to score eight goals in two games."

TRUE.
False.

Who thought it was normal?.

Not to mention this girona team is a worse team, that last season by a long way.

A.M beat them by 3 goals earlier this season as well.

People were finding excuses like we have no DM, we have so many injuries, no transfer budget etc, actually Twitter was full of Barca fans who were saying we won on xG and were just unlucky.

Expanding generally, Barca were always much better than that and our performances so far with half the team injured are showing where we should be, our squad or resources was never far behind Madrid as claimed by many fans.

For essentially the entirety of last season people were being gaslighted, sometimes by fans but also by the manager, about how much of a struggle it will be to compete and we don't have hundreds of millions etc, to justify things like that or generally poor performances.

So far he's doing better than Xavi imo. But the season is long and he needs to get it done. Nobody is gonna care of the bright start if the team starts to lose steam.

I prefer his tactical approach to Xavi's. The style is more visually appealing.

Relax bro, it's 5 games, Madrid are double winners.

We won against them 2 years ago, so clearly we can compete against them, that's nothing new.

This first XI, bar casado is stronger than what we had for most of last season, and without a few bad calls,we would also have started the season on a 4-5 game winning streak.

No the squad isn't light years behind Madrid, we already won the league against them, thanks to some good transfers and masia.

But this girona and last season are two totally different beast.

We also had many bad calls this season already, we have already seen so many of them, but the difference is we win the games convincingly enough that bad luck or bad refereeing doesn't stop us getting results.

Only 5 games, but it seems like we're building a system already.
