Because he agreed with the country.

I don't think that's a rejection. It's keeping your word.

He turned down an offer, regardless of the reason. He wasn't an option that we have disregarded.

And I am not here arguing semantics.

The man wanted out of Bayern job because he knew the German job will be free (he was Low assistant for a decade) and he agreed one job before losing the other.

Laporta tried for him and Nagelsmann and both said no, otherwise they would have got the job.

Flick:
"I tell the players what I expect from them, what they can improve and also what they are very good at. I am always honest with them because it is important for them to hear things even if they don't like them sometimes."
Nice. I hope he will analyze properly what went wrong vs Bayern between 1-0 and 2-1. And take measures so we are not so exposed again.

Nah, Neymar and Suarez in 2015 were high work rate forwards.

Even Messi pressed in the big games since his physical level in 2015 was the highest he ever had. Go look at his level v Bayern, Juve, City etc.

Could get them to press for 1-2 seasons though, not more.

Man, Flick is the only world class coach we had since fucking Pep.
I totally agree. Other guys after Pep would get humbled by Bayern with this same squad Flick has with him. It's not bad players, they are all huge ballers but Flick simply knows how to make them look even better. Kinda like Pep who made a handful of players look better than they ever could be if not for him.

He gives me Klopp vibes

goes to a team and makes every player instantly better

Humble Hansi will bring big things to Barca, big things

For everyone not getting the picture: Flick compared his team with grey geese flying while coaching the german NT and told them the upsides of them flying together. A huge meme in Germany since then. Die Graugänse fliegen!

Yes, the beginning was ugly. As someone said in the chat like boys vs men which is actually factual. Lots to analyze in terms of pressing and counter pressing, how to play out under extreme pressure. No team can keep that up for longer than 30ish minutes but with a keeper like Pena, that’s all it can take.

When Bayern equalized twice (first one called offside) I was quite insecure about the outcome of the game.

I don't want to jump into the wagon, yet. I want to remain a sceptic (for jinx's sake) and attribute this win on Kompany's inexperience.

Kudos to Flick, the mentality of the squad is steel strong whoever plays.
