If I recall correctly, Flick earns considerably less than Xavi.

That’s what it means to get your money’s worth, I guess.

I don’t like the idea of disrespecting Xavi continuously when praising Flick - Xavi is still the 3rd most important figure in this club’s history.

Management wise though, Flick is the best manager in the world currently.
I agree, the disrespect is insane.

Do you see Pedri's comments as indirect disrespect to Xavi?

Even if it's unintentional, these Pedri comments will always result in the criticism of Xavi.

What disrespect? Because he’s a legend, we’re supposed to pretend he was ready to coach Barca when he did?

Where do we draw the line with Messi should he come here one day, in Tercera?

Imagine a world where you can't praise your current manager because people will think you are disrespecting your old manager.

Ever had an ex girlfriend? Make sure you don't say your new girlfriend is pretty, you may just get attacked by a white knight defending the ex's looks.

I don’t think Pedri intents to disrespect Xavi there.

I think it’s more a matter of players really excited about Flick and wanting to attribute the right amount of recognition to his contribution.

Also got to be careful with articles transcribed from interviews. Could leave out parts of his replies.

Xavi likely one of Pedri’s rolemodels growing up. Can’t see him wanting to intentionaly harm someone like that.

If he came out and said Xavi was shit,he didn't play a very important role in the club's journey to recover.

That's disrespectful and wrong, like most here regarding that topic.

What he's saying now is just a matter of fact, facts can't be disrespectful.

He is saying that Flicks tactics are better and Flick has made them more competitive...

Xavis 'entourage' be moaning to media again and wont like it.

Like he has commented on training improved etc in past.

Pedri is not daft he know what is saying... He wont be aiming to disrespect Xavi but just say it how it is and if Xavi whines about it thats on him.

It very much is matter of fact and shows areas Xavi lacked in comparison.

Players got a chip after being told that this lot couldn't compete.

Yet their at fault for pointing out managerial and training differences and improvements.

Told couldnt compete while berating them on sideline in terrible way if made mistakes.

Jumping about like a demented frog as if everything from the players to the weather stop him winning everything.

He leaves... and players comment on training, commitment and how much happier now are.

It is no coincidence.

Pedri has balls if so. Would think Xavi is someone that he is still in touch with. Would make those conversations awkward as hell.

Only way that possible is if there was a huge falling out. Must have been real bad then.

What about Ronald. Also a legend who used Pique as a target man in the 1000 cross-game! 🤩
They had security boot him to the curb

It's the nature of the game. These dudes got thick skin & got paid beaucoup bucks. Doubt those post-tenure comments even register

Probably enjoying the sunset somewhere on a 70 footer 😏

There doesnt need to be any huge falling out.

Pedri saying it as sees it and not sugar coating it to protect Xavi.

If Xavi takes the huff thats on him.
