You don't believe it try understanding why Netherlands failed while having great midfielders for decades.
Nah, Xavi is not top 15, you are a bunch of young trolls repeating nonsense from web. Try to take it slow and reasonable. You can't ignore the people that were clutch and saved our ass for Xavi statpading passes in a well established system.
I love that but that is only the base of our game, not the best.
He was our best holding mid in history and that's all.

Not what pedri is saying. He’s talking about the attitude of the media, not Xavi.

Then leave it to twitter account to translate it in such a way it leaves certain parts ambiguous and have people run wild.

My communists. You sound like the muricans here, everyone they don't get are quite the communists. I only ever liked some thinkers on the left on a partial note. From Russia only Bakunin in certain aspects that make the UN the laughing stoke of politics. Don't remind him crushing Germany nor my kind in his circles.

No, I don't know much about football, but I do know what works for Barcelona
Watching your team struggle for 10 years and then having 10 years of glory makes you identify some patterns.
That is the only benefit and not falling for the clap-trap.
Yeah, Xavi was good as holding mid, but we rarely had problems with possession, but with winning big time.
What changed were indeed the players but not that much in midfield but in attack and even in defense.
So excuse me that I rate those players higher but is not because I hate the possession but I know it's limitations.

Btw Barcelona were quite the anarchists if you remember and some communists too, but mostly socialists. The good clubs are Atletico for a period and Real, sporting a henchman of the regime.

And I defended Pedri when people wanted him out. I am not against holding mids. Defended FDJ too when people pull out the stats on him. Never I will go against Xavi like players but for what I know I also defend them because I know their limitations and the expectations are more like from Messi type player than a holding midfielder.
You can argue they will never be Xavi level, but in 2002 neither Xavi was Balon d'or material.
