tell that to the French media.

I did 5 years of French in school. Forgot most of it :) Only comes back to me when I'm holidaying in France.

what reaction? me posting an article with a smiley face at the end of it.

He looked promising in his link up play. Nothing spectacular today I agree.

I still stand by my earlier words. My pick for player of Euro2012.

;)

Well, France is the world's most visited country so not surprised. And yes the English are easy to spot let me say this.:)

No, I was referring to the article.

I said that he had a decent game but nothing special. I have seen him perform much better for your team - Newcastle and I never saw you comment on it.

Look, I want him to succeed also. He is a good kid and I like the type of player he is and it would be harsh to wish him anything else than success after his horrible injuries.

The talent is clearly there and he has had a good season for Newcastle but that's it. He has a lot to prove before one can proclaim him as the next big thing.

Wait a bit before you jump to conclusions. Unfortunately it's a common practice in France and Italy so I know what I am talking about. Huge expectation even when there is little reason for it (not referring to Ben Arfa here but in general)

Also your comments seem to create a lot of unnecessary hatred towards Hatem Ben Arfa. You could rightly claim that you do not care and that it's only a internetforum and your own opinion but still think twice before you make controversial claims that are unfounded.

I am sure you also laugh at those Newcastle fans who demand the PL title and CL football every season (and you will now say that they do not exist but they do exist in all traditional clubs).

Just my two cents.

Just watched the 1st half and I have to say his link up play with Benzema, Nasri and Co. was fantastic. He was definitely France's best player that 1st half.

It's a good sign that the crowd get all excited and start screaming the second the ball touches Ben Arfa's feet. :)

Were you asleep when you watched it? And as I told you before - even if you claim that he was the best player in the first half it says nothing about his quality since France were losing 0-2 to Iceland of all teams ffs. When Ben Arfa was subbed off France scored 2 goals and won the game. He had a decent game and that's it.

But well at least you are an entertaining member who seems allright despite the urge to get attention by making absurd/controversial claims. At least you are not saying that Neymar is better than Messi in this thread.;)

ITT Neymar is now better than Messi.

I doubt Ben Arfa will be the surprise package of the euros but I hope France go far, being in France currently the footballing mood is addicting.

What the hell does ITT mean?

Cool, where if I may ask? Yeah, you can feel it as always before the big tournaments, especially in Southern Europe and Latin countries like France. I like that part of football (hope:lol:) since I still remember the fiascos of France and Italy during the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 EURO as well.

2009-2010. Worst. Football. Season. Ever! Add to that the CL exit against Sfinter and their treble. At least we won the league title.

Bordeaux.
Itt= in this thread

I used to love going to the pub and watch Bordeaux get annahilated week in week out and then they decided to be good lol.
They got Europa league apparently, hopefully they'll be drawn with some interesting teams. Stade Chamber Delmas is always half empty except for the derbies but I'm more interested in the foreign east european beauties that come with their team.

Aha. Yeah that makes more sense than HBA's guess.

BTW are you the same UAE guy I spoke to about Dubai? Or do I confuse you with another member?

Ah, Gascony the homeland of d'Artagnan (The Three Musketeers) and of course the wine. Bordeaux is a nice city with a good climate and interesting landmarks close to it such as the Pyrenees, the Atlantic Ocean, Landes Forest (one of the biggest in Europe and a former playground for ETA:lol:) etc.

I don't know if you have been to Biarritz but that's also a great place (the best place for surfers in Europe)

 Les Girodins are a rollercoaster team although one of the most traditional and popular teams in Ligue 1.

You mean Stade Chaban-Delmas right? Yeah, it's more due to the instability of the team and the high and unrealistic expectations from the fans. They won the league with Lilo (Blanc) 3 seasons ago and have since become weaker rather than stronger.

Yeah, Slavic beauties are special indeed.

Ah yes Chaban-Delmas. Dunno where I got Chamber from. I just moved in a few months ago so I still haven't visited everything. But honestly for a quick 1 week trip Bordeaux is nice but as a city to live in it's very average.
I've already been to Spain 4 times in the space of 3-4 months. I totally fell in love with the Basque country. Saw Bilbao in their historical win over Manchester United and let me tell you something those people KNOW how to celebrate a victory.

I remember the Milan vs Arsenal game I was at the bar watching the game and the french around me where like bring on Chamakh bring on Chamakh. I was really confused until I remembered he was a Bordeaux player a few years ago.

No I'm not the same UAE guy, not even from the UAE :) . Since last summer I like PSG in the ligue 1, that should give you a clue and my favorite Barca shirt is the 11/12 one :p
