Hatem Ben Arfa

Very good talent if played in attacking role. Most Newcastle fans I know admire him and blame Alan Pardew for his departure (he played him as a wingback which he struggled in). He will be a very good sub for MSN.

I'd rather bring Deulefeu back than have another 30 something squad player on the books on a long contract.

Guys chill out ... he's just a substitute for Ney and Suarez ! what did you except ? Dybala ? Mahrez ?

This.
People genuinely expecting a 50mil+ signing to give MSN some rest  You guys have no clue what the financial situation of the club is, signing Ben Arfa for free is risk-free and I'd rather have him on the bench than Munir or Sandro. (Yeah, they are La Masia graduates, but nowhere near the level required for Barça 1st team).
Ask yourselves why Lucho didn't rotate as much as last year, these guys are just not good enough.

that's up to you, what I do know is that he isn't anywhere good enough for barcelona, should stay at a small club like nice where he is a big fish in a small pond

Beside the fans I know, read the comments from Newcastle fans on ESPN site. The majority if not all posted very positive views on Arfa. That's why I have no idea where you got "most newcastle fans regard Ben Arfa as a waste of space"

Ben Arfa is the most talented french player since Zidane. One of the biggest underachievers in recent times.

His ego got crushed a couple of years ago; i'm sure he'd be delighted to keep Neymar focused and as sole forward sub he'd get plenty of playing time.
People mocking his ability or soundness of such a move under our financial situation have no clue.

i said most Newcastle fans I KNOW regard ben arfa as a waste of space, he did very little at Newcastle other than moan, looking at them.now the attitude to pardew is strange. On a general point to say he would only be back up to msn, the player needs to be of good character, ben arfa is just too flaky and wouldn't be much better than what's available now.

he might have some ego issues in small clubs like Newcastle but him at one of the biggest clubs on the planet Barcelona and behind the mighty MSN and at 29 years old, he would stay humble.

Not like I'm a fan, but I view him as a risk free good sub for MSN

an injury prone player with a history of falling out with team mates and clubs isn't risk free for me.need more as a back up than someone like him
