Hatem Ben Arfa

OK, this bickering is just ridiculous.

This is Ben Arfa thread, so let's focus on that. I have seen 5 games of Nice this season as stated earlier. Ben Arfa played in all of them.

I found the conversation you were referring to.... I didnt claim Arda was world class. I asked you who was claiming that.

Nor did I say he was one of best midfielders in europe. I said Atletico fans rated him as that as did Simeone. That was in response to you claiming he was not all that important or influential for them as people think.

Back to Ben Arfa.....I will claim five games and five minutes of another.

Get more out a 10 min video of his best moments to see where he affects game in attacking third across the season really.

In other words, you havent seen a single game of Ben Arfa this season, but Nice will be playing the top match against St Etienne tomorrow as both are competing for the CL spot. Tune in, so you can watch our next star! :D

I have seen plenty of Ben Arfa and dont think you have seen any of him this season despite the five games claim. More porkies I suggest. Good record of that.

Who knows if he would screw the nut at Barca and probably wont happen but for free it is a gamble I would take or at least his type of players gives options the squad not there at moment.

Its very close to happening judging by reports from L'equipe. We have never been this close to our first signing. Since you have yet to watch him play this season, you should watch tomorrow's game. The heat is on, perhaps the most important game of the season. Of course, he'll play in the hole behind the attackers as usual. And wont track back, lol.

To support such a transfer, I think it all comes down to the length of his contract. I hope our staff has learned from the ridiculous Verma contract.

I've only said it once, mate. If that's what you call "Running with it" then for all I care, go nuts.

He's had a mediocre career at best whether it's for mental issues or not, and at 29 we'll only have another Arda Turan situation on our hands if (Probably not if, but when) he starts playing for us and the entire world realizes he's nowhere near ready to play for us.

I'd gladly have taken Arda for free tbh. Problem with that transfer was the money we splashed for it.

40m for a 29 year old bench player is nowhere near worth it. A 29 year old bench player for free? Why not. Just don't overpay him (which we probably will...). And hope his previous attitude problems don't resurface (or that if they do, they don't impact the rest of the team).

He doesnt just play in the hole.... you havent watched much of him really have you?

You must watch some amount of football when is stretches to Nice and Aston villa games. Or is it more lies? I know what my money is on.

Aston Villa played Man U in their first game of the season. Amavi ran circles around Man U players in his first game of the season.

Playing in the hole = free role behind the strikers. Of course, since the team play revolves around him, he is free to move around, he isnt stuck in a freakin' hole, lol. Thats where he plays. But whatever you say. You just lied that you had watched Nice this season, when you clearly havent. But watch them tomorrow so you can get a sense of how he plays this season.

Thats not what playing in the hole means I am afraid.

Playing in the hole is taking up the space behind striker that is different from a more or less free role from which other players react to.

I dont care if you think I am lying. I think you are as you have a huge history of doing it. Cant prove anything either way.

Ah yes Amavi the decent Aston Villa LB you want as Barcas RB. That classic appearing again.

What about the week after the Man Utd game when his fuck up cost Villa a defeat vs Crystal Palace? Watch that one?

Your bickering is really something. I only watched the highlights of some of the other games and expert opinions. He hardly had time to settle in Aston Villa before his injury and had a great start overall. You admit you never watch Nice and then you go on and on about Amavi and RB. He played BOTH positions in Nice, and he would be a useful and cheap and versatile addition to our squad. Thats all. Certainly a big improvement from Adriano. But forget him. His career is probably over after his horrific injury. It seems you didnt even knew about it.

Lets keep this thread about Ben Arfa. Big game tomorrow. Stay tuned.

I have never said I havent watched Nice. No point going in to it as you wont believe me and I dont believe you so pointless debate that one.

Excuse for when Amavi not good enough in future... his injury ruined him. Could see it coming.

What games did you watch Amavi at RB? Give me his best performance at RB. You sure do watch a lot of Nice eh? Why do you watch so much of them?

Yip as I thought you mention the likes of Amavi playing right back and make snide comments about me watching him....yet back off as cant name one good game you seen him have at RB.

Sites like trnsfrmrkt dont have him playing RB in last two seasons at Nice either. You dont have a clue.

I have never said I watched him play RB, I have read that he is able to play RB (and I thought he had played games as RB), as he is equally comfortable with both feet, which is rare and very useful for a full back.

But please stop this bickering and bring this thread on topic and focus on Ben Arfa.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Great, another mediocre player for our bench! Adriano, Douglas and Verm will surely be excited about it...
