Honestly despite the Denials. I wouldn't be surprised if we meet with him and his agent after the season is over.

He physically looks much bigger now than he did at Newcastle.

Looks bulked up a bit. Could be strip who knows but has a different physique it looks like.

Think he could get a lot of game time WITH Messi, Ney and Suarez. Imagine games like yesterday when Messi done running could take off a midfielder and rest Raki/Busi or Iniesta.

Still need to rest front three more. Would give up the cups until semi finals if thats what it takes to rest them.

Well he'll be 30 next season and then 32 two years later. It's more short termism. Next year Messi, Suarez and Ben Arfa will all turn 30. Lucho's going for all these older players, but Barca managers last 3-5 years if they're lucky 90% of the time, so he's not going to have the job of having to replace them all when they're too old.

I appreciate our bench is pathetic and Ben Arfa is a better option than Munir or Sandro, but he shouldn't be main back up to MSN either. We need a Dembele type quality young player (Martial or Dybala would have been ideal but that ship has sailed) who can get plenty of game time to rotate with MSN or replace when one is injured. Munir wasn't good enough to do that over a season and Ben Arfa shouldn't be trusted either. We spent all that money on Arda Turan to a big fanfare. If he doesn't fit in then why would Ben Arfa?

It just symbolises more waste and only signing him because he's free and the money isn't there.

Buying Martial or Dybala for 50-60m and then making them sit on the bench is not a bright idea ... this would definetly break them ... I mean, lets be honest, Messi and and Suarez have atleast another 3 years in their foot
About the money, I think we signed a free striker to put all the budget on a great defender ? or maybe maybe 2 good defenders ... lets wait & see.

He looks a lot like that 3 point kid from the USA news story a few years ago.

Had learning diffculties and they put him on for last few minutes in final school game and he hit three pointers for fun.

Well Dybala went for just over 30 million last summer so he wasn't impossible or anything, maybe we could of used the Arda money to of got him instead, but there's a lot of arbitrary reasoning and hindsight there.

We'd have to assume that he'd be happy with limited game time (not impossible in the short term), that he'd be happy to wait 6 months to play, that Arda would be a poor signing to this point (we shouldn't write him off for next year yet), Sergi Roberto and Rafinha would be a good backup midfield for this season (couldn't of known this at the time) etc. it's all too arbitrary.

Well Lucho wanted Nolito and also Arda so bad that we had to pay his release clause ... and he did the same thing with Mathieu and Vermaelen before, that only means one thing: for some unknown reason he likes old players in decline. That maybe explain why we didnt go for Dybala or Martial last summer ...

Nolito's not shown any signs of decline, the opposite even, but 30 million for a guy of Dybala's age and quality is a huge steal really. He'll go for between double and triple that if he leaves.

I'd get over some of the questionable transfers we made (think Mathieu has been decent, could see why we went for Verm), but it was awful naive planning in regards to a backup forward that we ended up with no one this season considering we knew Pedro was leaving.

He is fucking shocking. Last time i saw him he was hauled of by Bruce after 20 mins at Old trafford.

No where near good enough, even for barca's bench.

According to L’Equipe, Arfa decided to cancel his trip to Barcelona at the last minute. he had purchased a ticket and there was even announcement made at the airport when he did not board the plane: “This is the last call for Mr. Ben Arfa for the Vueling flight, destination Barcelona.”

He now plans to go to Barcelona next week, when both the French and Spanish leagues have ended.

L'Equipe is full of shit. Just like with all Neymar to PSG shit they keep writing about. It's like MD reported, just his agents trying to increase the interest from other clubs. He is not coming. Thank God for that.

L'Equipe is covering their ass for the most part. they were so sure he would be going to Barcelona and when it was denied they literally wrote up that rumor of him "Cancelling it"

The irony is MD wrote an article not to long ago stating "Barcelona sources" confirm Ben Arfa was one of the potential forward/RW options for this window. Even Sport ran with a rumor we are going to talk to him after the season is over.

This is going to go on for awhile I reckon, we are constantly going to be linked to this guy and Denial reports keep coming out until he actively says which club he joins.
