Maybe they think he was intentionally playing bad to lower his price. But then again, if 30-35m is the highest they are prepared to go for him I'm ok with that as there is no way Arsenal will sell for that amount.

We should just forget about him and sign Semedo or Soares. I prefer Semedo because he's better offensively and I think we need that more right now so Messi will at least have some motivation to stay on the right wing because other solution is probably a lot of playing time for Deulofeu.

Agree with this. This is why we should not just go with Palencia or sign a RB who's better defensively.

The way forward like with other teams is also FBs being better attacking than defending, or their attacking abilities being the strongest suit.

Ah, I see.

I do find it funny how Mundo Deportivo's "transfer experts" are all unanimous in their assessment of him being the perfect Barcelona RB though

How many games have these guys watched. If Cesc was Barca DNA, Bellerin is more like Atletico DNA.
Keywords "La Masia" and "Catalan" will make some of those people say he's the perfect RB for us without even watching him.

Don't get why Barca these days pursues any halfway okayish former La Masia prospect for "identity purposes", yet sells all those they already have on their hand.

More exciting to brag about signing the 'Promised Son' or the 'Lost Son'

this, its stupid. the guy is bang average and will be even more exposed in a technical league. we should have learned our lesson not to buy from Arsenal by now. hopefully that 10 day ultimatum is true and we can move on.

no kidding...It's like the board will go out of its way to bring home one of their sons, even if better options are available. like a boasting/showmanship sort of thing

Bellerin dominates MD/Sport polls a lot when ask who would you like for Barca to sign? in regards to Right Backs.

You have to remember there's a lot of Barca fans local and all over the world that follow the team but don't really follow other teams and players as extensively to know if they fit us or have the attributes to succeed here.

Once they read a MD/Sport article on how Bellerin is Catalan and a La Masia player playing for one of the biggest teams in the world (Arsenal) and how we consider him the heir to Alves, they will easily start to throw support to sign him, regardless if they never seen him play a lot or not to get a good idea on how his skill set is.

He can press Arsenal all he wants, if we ever pay more than 35-40m. for him we are idiots. There is no right-back on the market who is worth more than that, even in these crazy days.

He probably will be in a few years. He turned 22 a couple of months ago, and was part of a squad that collectively had a terrible season. That's the risk you take with bringing on young players into the first team very early. They run hot and cold, and will make mistakes on their way to becoming the finished product.

Might need a new coach for that if the trend of players hitting a wall under Wenger continues. Should have left this season and let someone else take over. You know that Batman quote, 'you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain'.

Wenger is becoming that villain by destroying his legacy. I read that he's not even willing to accept a Sporting Director so it seems like he want all the power for himself. In that case he should be held accountable for Arsenal not doing enough in the transfer market or simply underperforming.

When is your pre-season starting and when is he supposed to join? Would be nice to have some closure on this Bellerin transfer thing to we can move on.
