Higuain to Barca: Yes or no?

Higuain would not find it a cake walk at Barca, especially at LW. He is a 'fox in the box' type player rather than a creative force, although I do take your point that Villa wouldn't be that type of LW either. Personally I don't see the point of signing Villa either, apart from a Laporta egotisical tactic to deflect the attention from Rosell. However Villa is twice the player of Higgie, who is (IMO) not far off the level of Bojan and Pedro.

Let me ask you a question then. If he was as good as Villa, then why would Madrid stall on his contract demands?

Pedro does look promising but he will have to repeat the kind of performances he gave this year to be actually called a good player!! Many youngsters come good, have a great season but then fade out in the following seasons... Higuain didn't, so he's definitely ahead of Pedro by quite a large distance. Consistency is one of the main characteristics a player needs to be considered a quality one, hope Pedro will be able to maintain his standards and be consistent

Pedro league goals are 11 Alex in as much games as Higuain who scored 27 , 4 in the CL (Higuain has 2 and you played 4 games more than us and Pedro played 2 games more ) and 3 in copa del gay (again Higuain didn't play at all ) and Higuain has more assists .. guess what Pedro is the same age as Higuain

So yeah big difference

The point is that he may well repeat a surpass this season's tally, he has certainly earned another crack at it. This obviously comes down to personal opinions and mine is that Higuain is a better player than Pedro but he is not that much of a better player to warrant the purchase of Higuain.

If you think differently, so be it, but don't get drawn in by Gio's love of Higgie. He is a Madrista after all.

Pedro is a great player i like him so much .. but he is not on the level of Higuain he is far from it till now
one season isn't enough we all saw Bojan being a crack with Frank and was benched constantly and overlooked till the last couple of games this season

Higuain is a great player, but is he technically gifted enough to be our future left winger or the big-game player Villa is? I really have my doubts. He has certainly not shown the former yet. Especially as it seems that we have bought Villa, who is a better player. He might be older, but I really do not care as long as he is able to score 25+ goals in the next 3 to 4 seasons, which is not unrealistic at all.

Let him stay in Franco CF....
