I actually believe the rumor of Higuain leaving its coming from an anti-madridist source, or from Higuain, that way he makes sure that Real Madrid will pay him a lot more and he will be living like a Galactico, and if it comes from the anti-madridist source then it is just to make them lose money cos' they will have to pay him more next season. Anyway, like it seems like we will get Villa, then it would be pointless to be thinking on another striker

Higuain would not find it a cake walk at Barca, especially at LW. He is a 'fox in the box' type player rather than a creative force, although I do take your point that Villa wouldn't be that type of LW either. Personally I don't see the point of signing Villa either, apart from a Laporta egotisical tactic to deflect the attention from Rosell. However Villa is twice the player of Higgie, who is (IMO) not far off the level of Bojan and Pedro.

Let me ask you a question then. If he was as good as Villa, then why would Madrid stall on his contract demands?

I agree mostly with this. Higuain is definitely the player I most admire from Madrid. But that doesn't mean I'd want him in the barca squad, especially for the money he would cost. The guy is good. Probably very good. But not great. And we have a squad of great players and very good players. We need to be adding to the greatness, not the very-good-ness.

I also don't see how he would fit into our team. If it's a choice between higuain and villa, I choose villa every day.

True but don't you think Higuain could improve into a great player? He's only 22, plenty of time to improve.

The thing is, Higuain is a Madrid player so i don't want him here. Villa right now is the better player and if we want results right now then Villa is the player we go for.
Higuain can improve though but we have Bojan/Pedro who are similar and can become as good as/better than Higgers.
